Ok.. One idea before i go to bed. I want you to check some system settings in three different locations and report back here what they are set to. 1) Open Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings. Are any options checked in there, and what are the options set to, specifically are there any proxy server settings? EDIT: You are on dial-up so it is different. 1) Open internet options -> connections. Highlight your...

Hi, Blade81! I am trying to run combofix; however, in the time the report is running my desktop freezes up. I have tried to run the report twice and both times the desktop just locks up. I will try again. Or would you like me to try something else? How am I to know when the combofix report if finished running? Wash09

I can't help with your log, but I do have a suggestion for you, I advise trying this before going any further, these guys are busy, and they don't mind helping etc, but this may be a very simple hardware issue, what you describe is typical of needing a new CMOS battery, this can cause no end of craziness when it needs changing, so if you can change this first, you may save your sanity, ...

Update your JAVA JRE ? Update your Adobe Flashplayer ? Update your Adobe Shockwave ? Check the "add-ons" that you may have your browser running ? I don't think your dial-up connection is going to limit the functionality of animated gifs once they are downloaded to your machine, but it will probably take just a bit longer to download them than if using BroadBand.
