Hi altenuta, logon.exe is not a windows file. MBAM removed it along with the other visible infection. I don't see anything remaining in the logs, but we will look a little deeper. Given the malware that was present on your computer, I strongly suggest you do the following immediately: From a clean computer, change *all* your online passwords -- for email, for banks, financial accounts, PayPal, eBay, online companies, any online forums or...

Try this one then. Please do a scan with the Kaspersky Online Scanner Click on the Accept button and install any components it needs. The program will install and then begin downloading the latest definition files. After the files have been downloaded on the left side of the page in the Scan section select My Computer . This will start the program and scan your system. The scan will take a long time, so be patient and let it run. (At times it...

QUOTE I want the hard drive to turn on/off when the computer turns on/off so I don't have to turn the hard drive on/off seperately. No going to happen. Sorry. Best I could suggest is same as what I have. I have a podium style Surge Protector, that has switches for each outlet and one master switch. After I have allowed my computer to go through the shut-down and turn off cycle, I can then turn off my Monitors, Printer and external HD...

For a good E-mail program, check out SeaMonkey . It's where the Mozilla Browser/E-mail suite went when Mozilla moved to FireFox and Thunderbird. It shares it's web page rendering engine with FireFox. It's has an excellent web browser, E-mail and Web page designer as well as an IRC client. It works very well with Windows 7.

I ask as some infections can be memory resident, this means they hide in the memory of the system, and once you've reinstalled they come back and infect you again, given the fact ...
