CHICAGO — Omar Vizquel agreed on Monday to a 1,375,000-dollar one-year contract with baseball's Chicago White Sox, where he'll play for fellow Venezuelan Ozzie Guillen. Vizquel, 42, is an 11-time Gold Glove winner and has played mostly shortstop during 21 major league seasons. He will add depth to Chicago's young infield. This season with the Rangers, Vizquel hit .266 with one homer and 14 RBIs in 62 games. He had no...

Kingman played 16 seasons. Including his rookie year of 41 games, he hit above .240 five times. In only six seasons did he slug .500, despite being tenth all-time in HR/AB. In 1982, he led the league in homers on a sub 100 OPS+. He did have three really solid years 1978-80, but we're talking now about 1987, coming off a .210 season where he hit 30+ homers with only a 90 OPS+.
