because the traffic from blogs is a lot more targeted on the TEXT that you have instead of images...
generally on the blogs I link to the FHG and to the TOURS... so if they want to see the content they will go for the galleries... but if they want to join they will go to the tours... that is the main reason I have some nice ratios on BLOG traffic (even with very low traffic blogs - 20-40 uniques...
