Hi Most people want their domain name to match their business name but they can be different. People come to your domain name when they find you, and they'll find you by your popularity, advertising, search engine traffic and direct links to your website. Hi Dafid,
I like the general design of your website. But it takes some time to load your website. Maybe less preload of images?
Your login module at the bottom of the page is not really praktical. I've I click on more than I can't see the box that opens.

simple, Log in to your wordpress admin. ( hope you can get that done easily )
then on the left hand side menus -> click on Widgets -> then there should be widgets that are on the Sidebar, eg: catagory widget etc. there is an option to remove that and the save

you dont need to know html to edit and modify a template. just go download or buy frontpage, the easiest and user friendly web application by microsoft to edit an html page and work on your template area. the software will automatically convert any changes to html byitself. no html or programming experience is necessary from your part. let me know if you have any questions and i ll help you

I don't mean to sound flippant here, but based on the way that you describe your design experience, I would choose Joomla. Drupal might be a bit too much for you.
Joomla can be fantastic once you know how to manipulate its components and plugins.
I should also ask, what hosting service do you plan to use?

The site is lacking flow. It is ver weighted on the left side what with the logo, heat prices, and animated oil price pulse graphic. I think the menu bar gets lost. The secondary menu options next to the heat prices are way too large, if they were half the size they would still be effective.
Work on organizing your body copy (text) to make it more reader friendly. Right now the heading ...

if the site has the appropriate keywords and enough quality inbound links, it can still do well.
But the best way is to provide a compelling reason for visitors to keep returning to your site, which is not very likely with a 4 page website.
