Replying to: Friday Fill Ins (OT) I don't do fill ins and I can't have pizza unless I want my bg to soar. As I just got up to start my day....0615, I will start my day with a glass of water to take my meds, then I will drink a glass of CL ice tea and begin my day, breakfast, etc. It's preparation day, so I'll be getting ready for Shabbat - we're having cod tonight. I've got to pull my sewing off the countertop...

Least you don't ahve to worry about her moving in with him and the EX, She is on a downward spiral, and needs guidence, she may also feel out of control right now and that loser- atleast in her eyes- is her one constant. Replying to: a cracker from heaven.. When I was doing the three whole wheat crackers with peanut butter for a snack, my numbers were up the next morning. They also have the bad fats in them if you have cholesterol problems. Sorry to rain on your parade, as I do love the Peppridge Farm ones, too (10 carbs for 4 crackers). Sometimes you just need a little diversion to keep on track, though. That probably was better than my sugarless jello and...

HERROYALEVILNESS: As a diabetic, you need to be prepared to deal with low glucose levels. "Cramming your face" with Halloween candy is not the appropriate way to treat a low glucose level. You should have glucose tabs available at all times. If you have a low level, take 4 tabs and check you glucose level again in 15 minutes. If it is normal range (above 70),...

I have been gone for sometime now from this board, things just not going right. I am back I have an appointment with a new onc Tuesday. I had no more confidence in the old one. I have a new symptom that is puzzling me. After 4 years of dealing with this beast, and going through the Mastectomy, then the reconstruction two year ago, for the past week I feel like I am lactating. I have ...

I agree, photo, those numbers are a little high. I think the 60 grams of carbs per meal is too high if one can't get their diabetes under control. Mine were horribly high with an A1C of 13.2. My diagnosis forever in my chart says "uncontrolled diabetic." What a stigma. I asked if they could remove that. They just laughed. NO. You CAN get diabetes under ...

Yep, I get those kinds of magazines when I see them in the stores...my 1st type was Prevention and it taught me a lot in the beginning...then my hosp had one for diabetics and I still have them too...and then I see yet others and because the medical community changes theories and updates things, I make sure to snag those too.

I hope the murdering SOB survives and is sent to Ft. Leavenworth and executed. As Ft. Leavenworth is only about 30 miles north of me, I will be there outside the gates celebrating his demise. It is too bad the UCMJ only permits lethal injection as the method of execution. He should be hanged or shot. David

I confess that it's going to be three years since I last spoke to one of my brother's and it doesn't bother me at all! I can understand why your husband feels left out from your family. You're telling him that you won't live with him where he is now, and he can't live with you where you are now. You're putting financial considerations ahead of your family -- ahead of your husband AND your children, because they have to live without their father for so long. It seems ...

Missy...Not Slipper here, but a tamale pot is the same as a "steamer" pot used for seafood. I have a 32 quart one I use for doing steamed seafood, but it would work well for tamales. There is a steamer insert that allow whatever is being cooked to sit above the boiling water level. Making tamales is kind of a big deal. It is not worth it to make a dozen. Mexican ...

I see some red flags here. One is telling you he missed you after one day -- that could indicate that he's going to be clingy and needy, and demand a lot of your attention. The drunkenness is another thing. After meeting you so recently and telling you he missed you and couldn't wait to see you, he should have been on his good behavior, trying to make...
