Hello Guys, There's this game that they often play in other forums. It's called "Word Chain," and you may have heard of it. It goes like this... I start out with a word, the next person who posts adds a word that is related to the previous word in some way Examples: Smiley Face Face Value Value Shopping Shopping Store Allright, let's continue on.... from ...

Use this thread to post your gas prices or just to rant about the cost. Also feel free to post about the underlying causes and/or solutions. This is and "off topic" discussion but still very relevant to our Hobby as many of us struggle to cope with the daily changes. The net effects of these swings in the price of oil can have a vast impact on our cost for shipping/driving to events/or just...

Well I went to Helen, GA with the wife for our anniversary. Needless to say, I drank my fair share of frothy goodness. I decided, as I sit here with a beer in hand to start a thread about your favorite beers. Sweetwater Blue (Atlanta beer) Fat Tire (Colorado beer) Blue Moon Belgian White (too bad it is bottled by Coors) I love beer and have tried an uncountable number. I wish there was...

When Jason Petroelje first scanned the plans for the Italian World War I fighter plane he hoped to build, this is what greeted him: "Idrovolante a scafo e galleggiantini laterali, biplano, monomotre, monoposto ..." Petroelje is Frisian, not Italian. And although he spent a couple of years in post-WWII Italy serving with the U.S. Army, he was hardly an expert at the language. Ten ...

Can some of you mention foam 5' to 6' WS wings ? I need a couple. Shapes are not that important. A company name or web site would be a big help. Thanks, Rich.

Okay, so today was absolutely beautiful for flying. But the onl place I have to fly, as far as I know I am allowed to (vice principle said I can fly on the practice field as long as no one is using it). Unfortunately the football team was practicing there so I couldn't fly. I have been trying for some time, yesterday was rainy so I thought it best to not fly. Don't know about tomorrow but I am ...

I had soldered my motor and esc leads together. I didnt like the results. I bought a new 40 watt iron, stand, solder and flux and practiced last night. What a difference the new Iron makes! I soldered 18 gauge wire to deans, bannana plugs, alligator clips, bulb sockets (to use as loads or to drain batts.). Everything worked great. But! How to do wire to wire? With the 18 ...

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today. But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned ...

I recently acquired a "Grasshopper Hobbies" T-38 Talon in the USAF Thunderbird scheme. Being a retired USAF NCO this plane is a great fit. Thanks Tom for getting these little beauties in and divying one of them my way. I got the plug and play version which requires just a bit more building than one would expect from a PnP model but that is fine. The assembly is very straightforward ...

Seems to me the Germans ran into trouble by opening the war on 2 fronts: those who do not learn from history etc... I sure wish everyone would stop yowling about stuff being "too expensive"! This hobby has been getting cheaper and cheaper for decades, and it is no different now with the amazing level of technologies we are offered. You think you are spending a lot of money now? Quit this ...
