Thanks Ambre!!! Yes, we do 3 week waves with bands off a box for speed. This training cycle we are adding more bands and less bar weight. I love squatting against bands, because you have to be explosive. But we dont wear our heavy gear when we do speed work, we wear single-ply gear either a pair of briefs or suit with the straps down. Lately we have been using our single-ply centurion from Titan, because their 1ply briefs have a very thin...

Big tall ox, I love my pizzas brother. I had one at old chicago a night ago. Oh man. 4 diff types of meat. Mushrooms and a very sweet sauce. I also took olive oil and put it on there. My girl just looked at me while I grubbed it down. I think pizza is a great bulkiing food btw. As long as you have raw substance and not processed vegtables and meats your in very good condition. That's why I love old chicago. If any of you guys have one,...

Workout from 9/16:
Bench (155): 3x6
DB Press (50 lbs): 3x6 *Would've used 45lbs if they weren't all hogged up from people curling, but I managed.
Dips: 2x6
Chins: 2x6 struggling and taking breaks. I didn't give up and was able to do three consecutive ones on my first try. Much better than last week.
Deadlifts: 135- 3x6 (feels a bit lighter now but I'm DLing light to get ...

You sound just like me man. Once I hit 325 on squats, I started to really f*** s*** up in my back. I had to reset, and I've never made it back up to 300 again since. See, with squats I really take things slow. The 5/3/1 is working nicely for me since I only increase by 5 lbs./month yet I'm still shooting for rep PR's every session. For my back's sake, there is no rush to get my squat numbers...

If your looking for a RAW routine, then it sounds like Wendlers 531 is the perfect program for you and your friends. There is plenty about it here in the forums so do a search or check out elitefts.com for more about it.

Don't be concerned. 5 plates is 5 plates. If you have kilo plates, then obviously the math will be different.
When you break an all-time world record in the World's some day, let them weigh the plates out and find out you lifted an extra lb or two. Til then, just load em up and SFW!!

Drinking Protein Shake DURING Training.
Just want to get peoples thoughts on this. I read somewhere that you can drink a shake during training, especially if the training is very intense and drink another one as normal, post workout...
I considered doing this because I need about the calories from that shake to get me to my 4000cal/day.

I'm going to estimate my Squat max around 400. So, using Wendler's 90%, I'll be starting with 360 for my 90% max. I'll use the same weight for my Deadlifts as I don't want them to detract from the squats, but I don't want to ommit them.
The other exercises I'll be starting at 3 sets of 12 reps. I'll add 5 to 10 lbs per week. I'll let the reps fall as the weight gets heavier.
I'll start ...

You will get the most out of your training if you train your whole body (which will even cause your biceps to grow even more). Do you train your whole body?

I was reading an article earlier that really sparked my intrest. It was
discussing how short people have an advantage over tall people in
every physical aspect.
The argument was posing that since larger people in height have longer
limbs their muscle mas is proportionate to their limbs.
It assums if the muscle is longer it natrually takes up more square in.
of muscle. If we can ...
