Karen, you are a miracle worker. Those two little ladies will be blessed with a new forever home. They look so precious! I'm certain they'll soon become accustomed to their new land. Thank goodness they didn't need passports...LOL.

Why not just make your own puree and freeze it. It is so easy and the pumpkins themselves are really cheap right now so it is a perfect opportunity. I am with Vivian though - I highly doubt that there is going to be a canned pumpkin shortage. Most of that stuff is not very fresh - it was canned ages ago and so they have some supply. I don't know many people that use it after the holidays. Except for a lot of us of course.

This is such a great story. Thank you for going such a long way to get them. They certainly are chubby little burritos! What sweet looking doggies. I hope they find a great forever home soon.

3 Pupils?
Published (2009-11-21 23:52:00)
Is it what's called fly biting? If so, that can be a sign/symptom of canine epilepsy/seizures. There's been several posts about it - just type fly biting or seizures/canine epilepsy, you 'll find lots of reading.

A Different Cherry Eye Question
Published (2009-11-20 23:05:00)
Our vet says that a dog (especially a puppy) can get a cherry eye when it is playing too hard. It can go away or stay forever...just depends. Asthe dog gets older the gland tends to stay in place.

Love those happy endings. Amazing that tiny dog could last 3 months in the woods. Please let Lola come home.

We have tried several things. Our house does good for awhile, then you come home and whoa, there it is again. We of course clean our house every week, wash the bedding and blankets every week, but it still comes back. The boys get their periodic baths too.
Anyone know of anything that works so good that you don't have to spray something every other day? We have tried plug ins, but after ...

That is hysterical! I'm envisioning my little lickapotamus, Penny, flittering around my head and "swiping" kisses. It's hard enough to keep her away now... if she could fly there is no way I could stop her. And her tongue is a mile long. She can get you from across the room. Penny as a hummingbird... oh my!

Demi got sick last week and I posted that she was drooling after. Some responses said that nausea can cause drooling in dogs. My parents Boston Terrier drools all the time for no reason, I think it is because he has big jowls and LOVES food.

Poor thing has to belong to someone. If a rescue is willing to take him in, we can always pick him up. I will try to reach the shelter when they open.

I had posted about this in RT but thought it would be helpful for others to know about this. First Boomer is doing fine. I caught it in time and he is going to be alright. Saturday night when we went to bed and kenneled Boomer I heard him let out a yelp. Looked and all was fine. We got up the next morning and when I touched his left side of the throat he yelped. Checked him out and his glands ...

Oh poor you!
I'm glad your babies are safe, but I feel terrible for you. It's not so much the stuff, it's knowing someone was in your house and went through your things.
You're in my thoughts, Val.
