KD is my all time fave sick food. But don't do whole wheat - it is just not good. Blech. Hope you feel better! Just went for a quick 5K in 10C and drizzle (so nice - although dark). Having a bite to eat then off to the theatre! My sister already got seats (they opened the thatre super early) for us right in the middle. YAY! Have a great night... good luck in the QotP battle which will likely ensue...

I didn't ask to make you feel bad! I'm actually jealous that you can still feel her jarred foods. D is a very picky eater and it's a battle to get him to eat. He refuses jarred food. Then again, I had no idea that you can get it in chunks!! It depends. If I have baby carrots lying around I'll give one to D to chew on. Same with broccoli. I don't always cook the veggies.

From what I've been told it's 12 hours from wakeup at that age. Having said that, at that age and now Jack could go 5-6 hours after a nap before he became a fusspot...but he was always asleep by 7:30pm, even earlier most times especially if his nap was short or done early and I put him to bed at 6pm.

That girl should have some of my mother's cooking then. OR good chocolate.

I would check it out for sure. I know my old boyfriends brother complained of a sore testicle that over time got really painful. Turns out it was becoming all twisted inside. He left it too long and had to have it removed - but it sounds like this is new for you (he left his for MONTHS) so I think it can't hurt to have it checked out.

I try not to, but sometimes it's what comes out. I haven't ever 'yelled' but I have gotten out my louder, sterner 'teacher voice' on occassion. He responds really well to it, lol.

Rinse/gargle a few times a day with salt water. It's quite gross at first but you will get used to it! Also, drink lots of water to flush the ickies out. Hope you feel better soon!!

For baking cookies I like the ones that are completely flat with only one edge having a curved up lip. Seems to work the best for me! I got mine at Ikea of all places and they are awesome! LOVE them!

Good morning mommies!! How is everyone doing today? I *think* I made all the changes to the list. It is getting increasingly difficult to manage, so if I missed something, please let me know. I think a PM works the best, as I can sometimes miss things in the post.

I have one, but have not really needed to test it out. She was uber cranky the other night, and I though AH HAH teething, and grabbed the necklace, and she was uncranky right away....but I don't know that it worked to help ease pain...since I don't know that her grumpiness was from pain :P But she now wants to pull it off I wish I had stuck to her wearing it everyday. I was good in ...

I'm here now and I should be asleep considering I will be up more than 4 times tonight and as if that's not enough, I'm sick and instead of being a 5-15 min. ordeal, it will be like 2+ hours because I'm sick and cough for hours after I get up. Oh well!

So as you can tell...I'm having trouble sleeping tonight. Hence the post in the wee hours. I can mainly attribute this to being exhausted all day and falling asleep on the couch for a couple hours around supper time. We had a busy day of nothing....we went to a Christmas Market, got some take out, walked and walked the dog, and I was supposed to be cleaning and helping with laundry ...

I interpret decent as respectably comfortable and enough to save a little and buy some extras, but NOT extravagant or enough to really buy a home or anything where I live (NYC). For my family, we need around $200K to live comfortably. This is enough for a "nice" lifestyle - a few trips a year, a fair-sized apartment in a non-sketchy area and savings if we try to keep costs under control...

I hate that line and I have a kid! I do confess to having thought it a few times since K was born - but only when hearing the most bone-headed comments. And often those bone-headed comments come from other parents, so it's not really an issue of whether you have kids or not! My friend has always done this to mean - I didn't understand what it was like when she was pregnant, then when...

Thanks Carol! I'm glad your cousin is alright and the community rallied. Hopefully you can have a relaxing week. I know I certainly missed your posts last week! So DH and I had a thrilling night last night. I went downstairs to vacuum and noticed water all around our basement bathroom. We checked and the toilet was randomly overflowing! We plunged and it just got worse, so DH called ...

Shannon - Thanks so much for checking in. I am so impressed with your writing! It's seriously an inspiration, and has the bonus of being cathartic. Good luck with it all! Siobhan - Welcome to our little group. So sorry you have to join for this reason, but you will find great support and understanding here. Unfortunately, I don't know how to count CD1 after a D&C because I ...
