I used it this month with no problems at all. Both parks had very low attendance every day I was there. Wait times were 15 minutes or less for just about every attraction except the new roller coaster.

Yay for first trips!!! Disneyland is awesome. You won't be disappointed.
My must sees would be anything unique to Disneyland like Indy, Matterhorn, Subs, Pinocchio, Alice, Storybook Land Canal Boats, etc, etc. And then rides like Space Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion to experience the same, but different rides. So pretty much everything.
How long will you be there? I'm sure ...

I can't personally confirm, but the news I've heard on other boards and blogs is that the hot dogs are now 60% chicken, 40% beef, and that they're only served on wheat buns. The beef-and-white-bread crowd are, understandably, outraged. If I wanted a healthy meal, I probably wouldn't choose a hot dog, no matter its ingredients.
