Welcome to MVS, We will help you as we can but you have several issues. Getting the codes read with a standard OBD-II scanner will tell you nothing about your SRS problem. That requires a Volvo Scan Tool or it equivalent. Until we can get those codes we can be of little help beyond asking if anything is acting funny in the seatbelt reels or if you have recently had any work done that would require the glove box or steering wheel to be removed?...

My instructions don't include that either. There are several Haynes manuals on eBay at the moment. Some only go to 1992 but quite a few cover up to 1997. Bill.

I assume that the red line is going towards the front of the car ? If so check the PCV for blockage if it's blocked then the filler cap will allow oil to leak out of it causing all kinds of oil leaks. It may be worth checking the crush washer on the oil plug too and or checking to see if the lower pcv pipe has split

By visor im assuming you mean the slide so your not getting blasted by our great fl sun? If thats the case try to push it up a little and slide it back. than pull it back down. I know on my 850 I can push it up out of the track. if nothing else id say get a small step ladder and open your sun roof all the way back. then check the slider from the top so you can see if you have room to play ...

Very nice! Guess it's time I post the S70. I don't really have a good picture of my wife's V70 or son's 850. Anyway, here's my beast: Attachment:

Assuming the diagnosis was correct and it actually needs changing, the replacement is pretty easy. You can use a 7/8 in. o2 socket or, if you want to cut the wire at the base of the old o2 sensor, a 7/8 in closed end wrench. Soaking the head of the o2 in WD40 or any penetrating oil before hand and then letting the engine warm up will make it easier to break it loose. The wire connector has a...

is the car auto or manual ? Also what is the engine size? There are several tests that can be done to determine a failed head gasket 1: Whats called a sniff test. Involves a chemical inside a clear plastic tube which dipped into the expansion bottle and if the liquid changes colour then head gasket has failed 2: Compression test and any garage can do that for you even the ones who want to rip ...

It definitely sounds like a vacuum leak. I would check all the intake lines and vacuum hoses. Also, make sure you do not have any leaks around the intake manifold and engine block.

Well checking the codes would be a good idea. But a quick check for spark would be to unoplug the wire going from your coil pack to the distributor. Hold it aprox 1/2 an inch from the coil where it was plugged in before u seperated it. Have someone try to start the car at this point, if you are getting fire to your plugs you should see blue electricity bridge the gap. Ive been told that there...
