You can't get it off with the scraper? Are you sure it isn't green coraline? If it is, that's normal and you just have to make sure to use the brush on a daily basis so it doesn't get stuck on there. I grow coraline all over the glass an on the back wall but can't grow in on the rocks...don't understand. Anyway, do what I suggest and it should take care of it.

Personally, I believe you must have actinic lighting for your reef. It really helps for viewing color which is the least important to me, but as far as your zoas, stonies, and polyps it promotes growth and color... I use current usa power compact and really like it even though some prefer T5. I use the aquatic life 65W / 10000K daylight and 420 / 460 Actinic bulbs and they really promote ...

Questions... Have you tested alkalinity and magnesium? Are you using tap water? How much flow do you have? How often and how much do you change water?
