By the looks of the information you posted, we have no idea what caused the problem either. So please if you could go to C:\Windows\Minidump and look for any files in that folder. If there is anything, put them in a folder and zip them up. Post that zipped file here by clicking the small paper clip icon above the text field, next to the text color selector. Then someone can debug that file and pinpoint the problem for you

LoneWolf: Did your problem also start after doing an update of the program? Just wondering because someone advised me that with this particular program it really isn't necessary to apply every update they come out with. And I was never notified that an update was needed. I just decided to check and see if there was one and thought I should probably appy it and that's when the trouble started....

You might try one of the Windows variants of the Linux 'grep' or ' fgrep' commands. Some are free, some not.

Most likely be a memory problem if it locks up. when you say that, do you need to turn off your computer so that it will continue to work? What exactly happens?
Please fill out your system specs so that we can gain a better understanding of your hardware.

Thanks Brink. When I left click, I get what I posted in post 1.
I click on the link ( ie the 1st pic ) and get the 2nd pic. When double click on that get the third pic.
Any thoughts on why I just can't get the box, as in the test zip you posted. That is ideally what i would like to get.

The only thing I can think of is to ensure that those drivers are okay for Vista and aren't for XP. If they are, were they unzipped etc?
They should also be in the Root of the drive, and not in a folder.
How exactly are you attempting to install Vista? Via the ...

Are you sure you aren't downloading anything, or on a malicious site? If not, run it without add-ons, they could be accessing your computer. If even that doesn't work, just get Mozilla Firefox, IT ROCKS!
