I prefer to keep assistance info on this site, so that others might be helped as well. It looks like Time Warner cable does not offer static IP addresses using their residential service. You may have to upgrade to business class service to get one. What that would cost in your area, I don't know - you would have to check. Is a good "get to know your operating system" resource.I believe its for 8.04 ,so it may not be entirely relevant,but I found it useful when I started with 9.04.

Hijackthis log need to be copied and pasted into the thread, not attached.
Also, you really should follow the advice given by the security experts instead of just posting a hijackthis log.
IMPORTANT NOTE! Because hijack this will list the names of various Malware on your PC, your antivirus may react to the names of said Malware and interpret it as a threat. This is a false positive, ...

Boot into Safe Mode, and chose Administrator from there. You should be able to uninstall the driver from there.
