Yes the new DVDs give you 4 total body workouts to add to the original 3. I think 7 workouts of the same style is plenty, and there's nothing else quite like Cardio Barre.

I believe in the value of rest when your body needs it. I was never a "go all out at all costs" type of person, but I have tried to do too much at times, both in exercise and in life. Battling a recurring illness really forced me to rein it in, and I'm doing better at balancing things out. I find gentle, therapeutic, and restorative yoga practices are a great complement to the more active things I do. I actually push...

It's hard to say why I love the Fluidity workouts. When I first tried them a year or so ago, I was totally not impressed. Maybe it's because I have the barre now? Or maybe at that time I was pretty enthralled with the iBallets, which are so different. Not only are they audio, but the vibe of the iBallets is different. It's hipper, it's cooler. The music is better, and Grace is well . . . she's Grace and she's...

Did you get on the treadmill? Erica~I love taking walks with my DH but we rarely do so anymore~need to get him to do that. Sandrine~yeah, my workout yesterday included laundry and housecleaning too. Hi everyone! (((Rachelle))) It sounds like Becky is an incredibly strong woman. How sad to beat breast cancer and then lose your child. Gosh, that is so sad. My sister has had a really hard time recovering from her loss, and I honestly don't know if she will ever recover, and this scares us. She has been to so many counselors and nothing has clicked for her yet. Cleda, don't ever feel guilty replying to everyone. That's why I...

Of all the barre workouts I've tried, I think P57 is most similiar---and yet it's still quite different. It does, however, seem to have a faster pace than a lot of the other barres.
Do you have the newer Cardio Barres as well as the old?

I love my TRX and have all the DVDs. I can't say I have a favorite, I like them all. Go to www.fitnessanywhere.com and just look at the exercise library, and you can see a lot of demos.
They do not stretch. The Bandit Loop or any ring I assume is the same idea, but with the TRX you can adjust the length of the straps. I bought my TRX for about 3 years ago and still use it all the ...

Mrs! sounds like you had a good trip.
I used the Wave for some of my lunges today. I tried to incorporate it into the workout I did. (Which was The Firm Tortoise).
Ok, this is how pathetic I am ~ I have had this tape (vcr) for EVER ... and I just deshrunk it today. Yes. You read that right. eeee gads. I think I've done parts of it (seems to maybe have a lot of ballroom aerobics in it?...

Hi Dawn,
I successfully kicked the soda habit years ago. I drink mainly water and green tea. My favorite brand right now is Rishi Tea. I love the Orange Blossom green tea or the mint tea. I drink my tea straight (no sweeteners, honey or lemon). I don't miss soda at all.

Tough question, because I have two answers and am not sure which one's right.
I love the Bryan Kest original (3-in-one) power yoga DVD. I just think those practices are close to perfect. And you get three of them, and they're cheap. But they are all about 55 minutes long.
Eoin Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness is near-perfect in a different way. The practice is excellent, and has about ...

I seem to remember mid- to maybe late November as the usual dates for the fall sale. I haven't participated in the past few, however, so my info could be out of date.

Someone replied saying that it was "fairly standard practice for online orders" and that it covers order processing and transaction fees from the credit card company.
In my experience with online shopping, I have only seen a few companies that have restocking fees for returns of items. I've never seen a pre-order cancellation penalty of 15% because most companies do not charge a credit...

I was going to make the title "And the rains wash us clean" but it seemed too long. We are DROWNING here with rain! Rain/water is a metaphor for moving things along, clearing things out, and healing. So I hope everyone has enough rain, inside and out, to wash away whatever holds them back.

I like "Calorie Killer", too. I like most of Kathy Smith's, even the ones others complain about her screeching in like "Lift Weights to Lose Weight".

Neutrogena's "Norwegian Formula" (or something like - can't recall the exact name, but it does have the word "Norwegian" in it - guess the Norwegians must really know their hand creams!) that is a very heavy duty cream. I don't use it often, but a lot of people swear by it. I can't recall if it's scented or not. If it is, it's a very mild scent.

Today's workout was Cathe's High Step Training. I substituted Kbell swings for the cardio bursts. I forgot how tough this one is. It's the one with all the step ups (180 to be exact--90 on each side!) and the one arm tricep dips. My only complaint is there is no ab work. I ended up adding the medicine/ stability ball workout from Core Max. Eh, I haven't done it in a while and I now I ...

Well here we go, for most of us except Gale , we'll be adjusting to the clock change again. I for one can't stand it! Just let Nature take Her course, that's my philosophy. IMO it adds undue stress to our stressful lives.
I hope Kath is OK and her husband does not have the flu, but if he does may it be short-lived. Let us know how you're doing Kath!
