Well done Ian, I think even Tim would agree that ticks all the boxes. BUT I don't have his discerning eye. Clever title as well.

Our filming is not sharp

No, i am not saying you need more just explaining what difference the light makes to the image overall and also to help plug in some of those gaps in your quest for knowledge. The type of light also makes a difference, as you may have noticed that the sunlight in the morning is usually soft and at midday in summer quite harsh. Perhaps a sharper light n the subject may bring out the detail a bit more... I used the unsharpen filter in the image,...

I can't thank everyone who helped enough, but I had a go at doing it and I think I got it nearly perfect, although I've listened to it that many times it's hard to tell. Tell me what you think: YouTube - ecardtest3 I used some guitar and drum sounds from Freesound and reconstructed the last note, I think that's the effect I needed. What do you think?

Does Graphics card matter?
Published (2009-11-30 13:29:00)
you should always upgrade an integrated video card, but that is my personal preferance :P anyway, to answer your question; Video editing generally does not require a video card upgrade, unless your current card can't display at a sufficiently high resolution.

It makes a pleasant change for someone to come along and ask a question like this when they've clearly made an effort to research it first. Thanks & welcome.

When i render it with the video mode set to CBR, it has the lag problems. But when i render it as Quality VBR, the lag is slightly minimized, yet ends up being about 1 GIG, which is too big.

I don't know what camera you are using. Try popping into jessops and ask them if the have any gels you could cover your lens with when filming. You could try a wratten 85 which should get rid of most of the blue. (Being a photographer you should understand where I am coming from.)

What video editing software do you have ? Most of them will let you produce some sort of titles or lower third, like your example. Maybe not quite as glossy but similar.

Can you see the movie when you click on play ? How long is the clip. When you say frame do you mean clip. Do you mean want to scale the time line so you can see the whole of the clip on the screen ? If thats what you mean just use the scroll wheel on the mouse to zoom in and out. If that's not what you mean can you clarify.
