I LOVE LOVE LOVE cooking and baking etc. I am a huge fan of cooking shows and really like watching The Food Network. They have every kind of show, every kind of chef BUT there is NOT ONE half hour special dedicated to vegetarian or vegan cooking. So many people are vegetarian and vegan how has a show not been introduced and if I am missing one please let me know.

I have really come to enjoy going on rabbit hunts. You know, you go to the drug store cosmetics aisle, and look for that little rabbit on the package that shows you it's not tested on animals? I go hunting for him. Anyway, I was looking at a bar of Canus goat's milk soap today to find out whether it was tested on animals or not. Goat's milk is supposed to be really good for your skin, and ...

Hi everyone. I've recently been thinking that tofu is something that should be more of a treat for me than an everyday thing. So, I've tried seitan that my husband bought for me at the health food store (Whitewave brand). But I didn't like it very much. I made a stir fry with it. Is homemade seitan better tasting? Is it hard to make? I know there are many recipes out there for making it ...

So I've recently found myself burried in zucchini. First I made zucchini bread. Then last night I made stuffed zucchini. Tonight, I chopped up the left over stuffed zucchini and mixed it with spaghetti noodles. All I have left is one zucchini, what shall I do with it?

This is a meme in response to the What The World Eats thread. Why not show us what your groceries for the week look like?

All right, here's how to play. I post a would you rater question. The next person says the answer and writes their own would you rather. Example: me: Would you rather kiss a hobo or kiss George W. Bush? next person: Kiss a hobo. Would you rather... I'll start: Would you rather be stuck on a big hamster wheel or go on American Idol?

I apologize in advance for this rather random question, but Im genuinely curious: To those of you who have/are raising/interact with young , non-vegan children, how do explain your belief system? I live with my five year old niece (whose, like a lot of non-vegan tots, menu staples include chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and the like) and was baby-sitting her this afternoon. She picked up ...

Ok. First, I'm deaf in my left year. I listen to headphones while at work. Some songs are split, namely by old bands (Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles for example) so I can't listen to the song, I only get half of it. So, I've tried googling it, but I can't seem to find some sort of free, simple mixer that will push all sounds to the right headphone/speaker. Do you guys know of ...

I noticed a lot of people on this board saying things like " meat is murder" or "its wrong and selfish to eat animals". Ok, I love animals and I could not stand to see one killed for anything, but I really don't think that eating meat is in itself wrong or immoral. For me, I became vegetarian because of the way the meat industry is today. I hate that they treat the animals like cheap ...

Okay, it wouldn't be a huge deal if I was using money my parents gave me to buy stuff for myself. But suddenly my stepdad absolutely refuses to give me any money to buy my friends birthday gifts (I never spend more than 20 dollars). What am I supposed to do? I' m in debt as is. They won't give me decent work to make any money at all. I wouldn't care that much if I wasn't going to use it...
