I'd take them to a charity shop- would recommend doing some research into any charity you consider-check the financial reports on-line-you'll be surprised how many charities have Cheif execs on 100k plus salaries and also other paid execs on between 60k and 90k. when "I saw the light' back in 1994- I cleared out a sheepskin coat that I'd bought for 350 quid from Kendalls, about a dozen silk ties,leather...

Since having a baby last December all race goals have expectedly gone out the window! After pretty much an all time low of fitness in about March, I am on the build again. Though I am still without any real race goals which has left my training a bit unstructured. Thats fun for a while, but I think it is time to get organised again and maybe doing a training log for the first time in 20 years...

the long awaited eating battle between VSG and MVS is on this weekend. the rules, as drafted by VSG and slightly modified by MVS are - the final score will be the total of the calories taken in by the top 5 eaters from each team PLUS the average total calories taken in by all the other team participants - only vegan foods are allowed of course - it starts at 8am and ends at ...

Yikes. Some dreams are 'practice' for our brains, for dealing with tough situations in life. I have recurring dreams/nightmares about my stepfather (who was abusive). Until a few years ago, i'd always be the 'loser'. The last few years, i'm now the 'winner', defeating him in whatever challenging situation occurs (almost always physical.) For what it's worth, i have no fear ...

I went to give blood today but was told that I can't as my haemoglobin was 9.3 on the machine. The nurse has said I should go to the doctor for a blood test and have a glass of orange juice instead of tea with my breakfast. She said that because I also run a lot this can affect the iron levels. I have always had fairly low iron anyway, last time I had a blood test it was 11, that was 4 years ...

Background Strongman wanna-be, 118kg, did plenty of comps, mostly battling for bottom positions, fluked some comps for nice position, went heavier and heavier, tore pec tendon, lost 13kg and all strength. During the rehab got fitter, some could say even faster and more explosive, and built some of the strength back up. Bodyweight now at 104-105kg with a great set of hair....

I've been vegetarian since college, about 15 yrs. I'm trying to lean towards going vegan, but I feel isolated already as a vegetarian. My problem is that I've never met any (available) guy who's vegetarian much less vegan. I've been tolerant of having to see raw meat smelling funky in the fridge or the odor of fried hamburger, but it's wearing on me. I've excused myself from the ...

.flux set the warning when we drive over the speed limit on the sat nav to a cows "MOO!". Can we call ourselves vegans any more? Its not only that the cow is exploited to fit in a box, the sat nav box is pretty small as well, not one of those expensive wide screen ones. What kind of image do we give about vegans if we are happy to exploit cows like this?
