Anyone try v-leds?

I see no advantage to replacing existing lights/bulbs with LEDs. Regular incandescent bulbs work great, and are cheap and easy to replace when they burn out, and they don't require any kind of special wiring. I'm all for improving things, when it is an actual improvement, and when it does not cause more problems than it solves, but this does not seem to be the case with LEDs. Jerry.

Tourmaster Venture Pant
Published (2009-12-23 00:14:00)
As I noted in the Holiday Wish List thread, new riding pants were at the top of the list. We went to Donnelson Cycles, where I bought my FJR , to look for a pair Saturday. This is one of the larger bike dealers in the St. Louis area, and they carry a pretty extensive line of gear. I must have looked at 10 different pairs of pants, and ended up trying on perhaps half of them. There were some pants that were "4 season" ,...

He was a great man and his work keeps me safe everyday. I can only hope that someone else has picked up the torch to continue striving for our safety while enjoying motorcycling. I first encountered the Hurt Report in Hough's book entitled PROFICIENT MOTORCYCLING...I highly recommend it.

On a somewhat related topic, my son-in-law just showed me his new LED flashlight, which is small enough to be almost entirely enclosed in my hand when I make a fist. Here is a link to it: http://www.4sevens.com/product_info....oducts_id=1599 This light has several light levels, from "moonlight" to check your watch without compromising your night vision, up to 230 lumens, which lit up my back yard. With LED bulbs like this...

I will be there. Won't know the details until just before, but we could settle on an hour and location within the hall. Like maybe near the Kawasaki display (if there is one). I presume we would meet on the first day.

That last '92 "Brian's 1992 KAWASAKI VULCAN 750 (VN750A8) CHOPPER" is really cool. I would have done the flames in more conventional white/yellow/orange, but the bike looks great. I especially like the fact that it still has the "ears". To me they are one of the most attractive parts of the Vulcan 750, whether it is stock or modified. Jerry.

I cant tell you what will work or not but I highly sugest if you havent allready, do a search for "led turnsignals" on here. I just did a quick glance and there is plenty of info on LED lighting. How to wire and what parts will work.
Hope this helps

No, it's not normal. Might just be a bad/old valve core. Wouldn't hurt or be that expensive to change it, as well as check for leaks, especially around the rim. A simple mixture of soap & water will work for that.

Hmmm. I can't find CTL-46L on their web site. You want LED-46L for our bikes.
Code: LED-46-L
Weight: 0.50
Price: $49.95
Takes longer to open the box than to install

just an FYI
This is exactly what the previous owner attempted to do with my VN750 project. In my case, he only partially completed one side. Mine is now at the welders to get the tail pieces re attached. Had we have known each other, we could have switched frames HAHAH. Too funny. Good luck with your project looks good so far.
