what size stall converter

You really need to decide on what heads and camshaft you'll be running to make an intelligent decision about stall speed, otherwise it's just a crap shoot, Anything more than about a "true" 3000~3500 stall would really be a bit too much for your current combo.

agreed, you can have to much stall, also do you have tires/suspension to hook a 4000 stall solid with no wheel spin?

BIGGEST blower ever!?!?!?!?!
Published (2009-11-25 12:09:00)
Its a blower off a EMD electromotivedivision 567 series engine freight train...... @ 1:1 ratio that blower delivers 4,536 CFM at 900rpm on a two stroke diesel..... They had 2 of these blowers mounted on the end of each head each driven off the camshaft by a chain......

Heh heh... it would be nice. However, no patents there as the idea comes straight from the locomotive world. I was struck by the idea that the latest General Electric diesel electric locomotives were able to run on 3 gallons of diesel per mile under load. When I calculated out an average sized train's fuel usage and load against moving the same amount of cargo with semi trucks, I worked out that it would take a something like 450 semi...

Think about it this way, if you just punch the gas your engine will rev (flash) to the stall speed before it wants to take off. To me 4000 RPM's sounds pretty high for your combo. You for sure don't want to launch above your peek torque RPM.

I have run 180, 195, 210 and just purchased my first set of 220's and have loved every one of them. You can not beat the quality of an AFR head for the price. Now they are on the high side for a street head as far as price but the power potential is outstanding. One quick note about your combination though. You will go faster if you ditch the victor jr and run a Performer RPM the victor jr is ...

These heads have been around quite a while. That being said there are ton's of great combinations that can a easily make a 550hp. Your just going to have to be mind full of your compression. They have the potential of making more power compared to an aluminum head because they retain the heat ( which is energy ) but also have the ability to detonate earlier because of that same heat. With the ...

Are you using these transdapt plates with these mounts? This is what I'm running and everything fit pretty good. I did have problems with my moroso 7 qt oil pan hitting the crossmember and I had to use a stock truck pan.
