When looking for used cars on the Internet, it is best to deal only with local sellers. Avoid dealing with anyone who promises to ship a car from a foreign or distant location. Also, be wary of someone that wants you to wire money or seems to be in a rush to sell.

...I know this is an old post, but I thought I'd let you know about this guide to buying used car parts . The formatting on the site isn't great, but the advice is solid. I suppose as it's from a used car parts location firm, they probably know what they're talking about.

They are both fairly common sense measures I suppose - provided they're not daft enough to spend a year arguing about hunting while letting the bankers do whatever they please and getting involved in unnecessary wars I suppose they can't be as bad as the lot we've had.

I reckon its to do partly with the housing market aswell - kids stay at home longer, so are more likely to borrow the olds' wheels.

I can't say I'm surprised - people got into a cycle of buying cars every 3 years. Now that it's harder to get credit, and especially with high unemployment in the UK, people will keep the cars they drive for longer.
