erm... the scientific evidence is quite string that they existed, so its not a "matter of debate" as suggested by that link.
At the same time, the link is correct - their existence does not contradict Islam.
(also, "day" in arabic can also mean "time period"... and before the creation of the earth and making it spin around the sun, day as we know it would not exist as a time.)

i dont think pakistani women would have an issue *embarassed*
but usually in this culture, (families) people cannot get out of the mentality tht we are all muslims, so it dont matter, and tend to just want to 'stick' to their own. Although nothing wrong with tht, but people make it out as if it is haraam to marry outside.
