They aren't easy to come by unless you have access to a parts car - the yards have to remove and dispose of the cat's per the EPA along with draining the fluids. One good way to go might be to just gut the cat, and install an ebay cat in the mid-pipe. They can be had for like $50 to $75 and are much more effective than the original cat's were even when new. A used cat is a total crap-shoot IMO. I went through three y-pipes with...

Urk. I've let people send two good (okay, snapped timing belt on one, and bad starter on one... but perfectly repairable) EA82 wagons to the crushers over the years -- wish I had them as parts cars now.

if you don't have much money, make sure it's the cat first. unbolt the manifold, let it hang and see if it helps. it'll run with no exhaust at all (where ear muffs , though i don't when i've done this before).

27's you will be cutting and using a BFH. the 195's might fit without a lift but they are going to rub in the rear when you put weight in the back.

There's a direct short in one of the circuits supplied by that fuse. You'll have to find out what all runs from that fuse and start tracing wires and disconnecting things to track down the short. It's probably something pinching a wire agains the body somewhere. Improperly installed trim and badly routed wireing can cause that.

that's a bad idea, it's going to cause binding and issues if you put any kind of miles on dry pavement like that. since others around here have welded diffs, maybe they'll be able to elaborate since i haven't done it. i would think the rear CV's are going to take the most pounding, so you could give it a shot and see how long a rear axle lasts.

Did you replace the two wire sender or the one wire sender?
Both senders are thermal resistors. Their resistance changes based on how hot they are.
The ECU gets it reading from the two sire sender. It feeds the sender 5v through one wire, and reads the drop in voltage through the second wire.
The one wire sender is for the gauge. It just grounds a 12v feed through the gauge, the ...

Hi Tom ,
On your model does the door window glass press directly on the rubber seal ( like a hardtop car ) or does it have a metal frame around it ? I looked at your pictures and it looks like glass to rubber but its hard to tell . On some cars if you pull the door panel you will see where you can adjust the window channels a bit to angle the glass tighter against the rubber . Is the ...

THIS IS NOT RELATED TO EGR. your running issues are not related to the non-EGR into an EGR vehicle.
You're running the auto trans? if so then it doesn't matter what ECU you put into - ECU's run multiple types of vehicles. If you have an auto trans it is expecting an EGR, swapping ECU's does not fix that.
you probably have a vacuum leak or cylinder misfire of some sort. i'd suspect ...

yes ebrake on the EA81 is to the fronts.
not sure how you can test t safely, but try to lock the front left wheel ( pry bar thru the caliper/studs or something) and then see if the right wheel is spinning without the noises and catches.
its an open diff, so only one can spin at a time with any force.

this loud bang you heard, can you describe a little more. sounds like it may have killed your trans.
usually, loud bangs are not a good thing.
