Only 4% of US employers roll the cost of covering health care into the product they sale. GM for example. The cost to cover their employees and the retired employees costs per car $1,100 to $1,500. To me, that is not worth handing over 17% of our economy to the government....

Healthcare Bill Passes!!! - Topix
Published (2009-11-12 09:16:00)
Per a press release, Pelosi did not deny but confirmed that as the healthcare bill is currently written, people would be jailed for not carrying insurance. Perhaps, more incidious, is the fact that to help lower unemployment rates in Nazi, Germany, Hilter jailed people to lower unemployment rates. In part, that being how the Daschu concentration camp came into existence. So, if they can jail people for not caryying health insurance, there...

So, this is a nice and easy way to put 20M uninsured in prison? This will in turn raise taxes as more prisons will have to be built to house these criminals for 5 yrs. The cost is not too much. It's only something along the lines of $40,000...

i would hope that this legilation hr-3404 would be adopted asap. this is an absolute "must" as the employment picture continues to darken. this would ensure those people would be able to make house payments, and contribute to the whole economic picture. not passing this would be a disaster

MA, observation alone isn't experiment. I don't call for experiments on climate, I call for experimental test on climate, I call for experimental measurement of CO2's greenhouse effect.

The tea party movement is great to see and long overdue. Bush did a bad job. Obama is doing a worse job. The elitist republicans and democrats have failed we the people and our voices shall be heard. Michele Bachmann is my hero. Bachmann for president!

Why does Dan keep proposing things that will cost more money, especially to Hawaii? All we need are thousands more on social security and welfare. Why doesn't he at least attempt to get the $$$$ millions for all the housing, medical, education, etc that Hawaii has had to spend on the Micronesians in the past 13 years? Get your hand out of my pocket Dan.

I'll believe it when I see it. Too bad the military doesn't have the ability to just enforce the bill as it is written.

The whole state system is corrupt and anyone in Columbus who supports the current health reform packages is plain crazy. This city is heavily involved in the banking and insurance industries and Obama is/has changing both for the worse. Consider how desolate the city could be without banks or insurance. Hell, everyone would be sleeping in the new city center park.

If Ohioans are indeed stupid enough to put the Republicans back in power, then they deserve the next depression that's coming-and it's coming. This 3.5%'growth' we saw in the 3rd quarter is nothing more than an accounting mirage produced by the unprecedented monetization of the massive debt left after Eight Years of Republican Rule Under Bush. Republican ...
