Pawnbrokers / Cash Converters -...
Published (2009-11-20 13:52:00)
This thread is hugeley interesting to me, because I am in a very closely related market. The same section of the community who are customers of Cash Converters are the same sector that take out small cash loans, so I can see the repeat business aspect. However, in the cash loans business we dont have to have a shop premises, or hold stock, or register for vat, or be open all day. I wouldnt consider running a cash converters shop for an instant..

Published (2009-11-20 14:31:00)
The homepage is very clear: "Approved Index attracts thousands of business buyers every day. We qualify their enquiries by phone, creating highly targeted and verified leads on a Pay-Per-Lead basis. Join us and you'll also be listed on our directories absolutely free!" It's not free, never claimed to be free and is not misleading or dodgy. Free listing is not the same as saying it's a free directory.

If you look in the pages source, the body content starts on line 257 but there will likely be some scripting in the head section.
This particular image rotater isn't anything special and I am sure they have something that will do the same job on dynamic drive. What is it about this one that you like so much?

Is this a startup? Because that sounds like a lot of services to get right.
Personally (and this may be unfounded as I have no idea how big your startup budget etc is..) but to have a good reliable hosting platform, a web team to plan, design and build websites and to offer broadband and voip will take a lot of resource and money!
and unless you have a genius that can support all of these ...

It depends on how you've structured your pages. If you have urls like:
http://www.nextpoint.co.uk/services/websites.php
... this might be a problem because PHP pages end in .php - hence your page names will change using PHP. The way you should have your pages is:
http://www.nextpoint.co.uk/services/websites
This will avoid problems when you change technologies like from ...

Depends on what your exact requirements are. How many pages? What type of
design? What features do you want?

Hi Dan,and welcome.
Try using the "search" function at the top of the page. This question has been asked and answered dozens of times.
If that is no help, ask again, but try and add some more general information about what you are hoping to do and the type of product you are interested in etc etc.
Good luck with it.

I'm guessing that you really haven't done much research.
Why nuts & chocolate? Waht do you know about nuts? What do you know about chocolate? Why do you thing it would be a success? What do you know about the market? How will you compete with the major players? What is your USP?
There are loads of different nuts, and loads of different chocolates (different beans, different roasts, ...

For just 2 users, I think you would be best sticking to desktop operating systems like XP or Ubuntu
Maybe you should consider using an online backup service for your backups - there are some very cheap ones out there and they have the advantage that your data is not even in your building so there is little chance of it getting destroyed.
What do you actually need?
