Considering Gordon employs half the population of the UK,it would seem it may of been possible for one of his minions to run a pair of good eyes over the letters before posting. After all everything the guy says is written by other people.( well I hope it is ) "*" means smile Gordon you keep smilling in the wrong places. Earl

Has BNI and the like had their day?
Published (2009-11-09 22:29:00)
Personally, I'm a fan of BNI. If there are not too many options networking options where you happen to be, if you're new to business, if you want discounted training in areas you hadn't thought of (networking, presentation, etc), and if you want to be the only type of business at the table - then it has it's good points. I'm not denying it has its negatives either, and it's obviously not for everyone, but...

Hey, firstly your collie sounds lovely. I LOVE collies, so much so I now have 3, oh and a 3 month old baby. Yep I like chaos. We have just rehomed a 9 month old girlie and although she's very lovely she's on the happy chew road to destruction like yours. Thinking back to what my other lad did when he was young (ruined a stair carpet, lounge carpet, peed on the fire so much that had to go, ...

It depends on the purpose of the website . You can either build a website full on CMS like wordpress else you can make a static home page and a blog with similar design for updation and news. Blogs are always preferred as beacuse of the web2.0 (commenting ,rss ..) advantages.

You're already doing the right thing by looking for links from relevant websites. You can approach websites asking for links, but you'll do a lot of asking before you get many links.
I also suggest listing in local directories... e.g for your village/town. I live in Chandlers Ford in Hampshire, and they have a business directory like this: http://www.chandlersfordonline.com/b.../bus_index. ...

We licence music directly from various musicians and obviously pay a royalty to them for their music. Generally this is a contractural matter between ourselves and the other party. As such it's a private matter and not something we'd lay open on a website...
With that said though we are adhering to industry rates so these are something of an 'open' secret...

For this to work, there has to be a lot of things in place.
1. Right product
2. right price
3. right match up
Are you going to give the SEO/SEM person COMPLEtE control over your website?
Are you going to give complete transparency in sales? (auditable) including bank account details?
I have entered into agreements like the above, but the product has to be good, the pricing has to ...

As you don't like the proposed solution, what would you do to provide healthcare to the millions of currently uninsured (and therefore uncovered) Americans ?
I understand they can turn up at ER - but my understanding is they only do this because they have no alternative - it's a step of last resort, otherwise they'd die. They must feel like 2nd class citizens when they do this, and so...

I suspect you'll get varying replies based on people's experience with each.
Mac users will say they are great, PC users will recommend them. I'm sure some people will even suggest various flavours of Linux too.
PCs (especially with the arrival of Windows 7) are now very stable and easy to use. They tend to be much cheaper than Macs as there are many hardware manufacturers competing to ...
