Sorry to hear this... .. we'll be sending you thoughts and prayers to help ease you thru the tough times....Hoping that the future holds good things for you and also for your wife... Also hoping that you can not have the bitterness that often follows divorce... My own bluedawg pet, Wyatt was only available to me due to a divorce...so I often think about how sad it must be for a hunter to lose his hunting partner... Hope your good dawgs...

Published (2009-11-20 17:56:00)
I realize and agree that you have way more experience with clover dogs then me. I don't argue that im just saying 98% of them don't look right. Again looks has nothing to do with treeing a coon im just stating a fact. Clover dogs stand out because of there genetics that has been messed with. Joe have you ever seen inbred people? They don't look right do they? Same goes for dogs. Just because people say clover dogs are inbred...

The pups are spoken for. Thanks. The two year old would not be for sale if he opened more on the track. That is the only fault I have against him. I like his breeding, his looks, his mouth, the way he hunts and handles, and the way he trees. The race is a big part of the hunt for me. I do not comp. hunt. He is independent, and the few times I have hunted him he will ...

Jim Well said. And it doesn't mean you have to sacrafice anything but your time but as you stated you need many trips to the woods and some common sense. I hate to see pups sittin in a kennel or any dog for that matter. When it is too hot to hunt we walk our dogs or show thru the summer or water races and such.

I would think yes because if you couldn't recast into a treed dog then you could potentially get into a situation where a dog could tree and then the handler of this dog would have to lead his dog from tree to tree all night if the other dogs keep getting treed individually and another dog is out not opening.
