what kind of tropical fish do you have in the tank? you'd probably be better off rehousing that pleco soon and you may even be overstocking with the current 15 tropicals. i dont think anybody on here can say for sure even with pictures. you may just have to end its suffering. the barb may have injured itself swimming around or maybe it got stuck somewhere. is it dead yet?...

Vinegar eels ar a good first food as well as infusoria and green water. Flakes must be finely crushed, almost to the point of making them a powder. Almost forgot, some people have luck with feeding cooked egg yolk, just squeeze it through a nylon to feed. It's kinda messy and care must be takn as it spoils really fast. QUOTE (Mercury2234 @ Oct 21 2009, 06:55 PM) Hello, I have recently started a 30g fish in cycle (LFS told me to do it) with zebra danios. Anyhoo, I am on day 15 and I am still not picking up any Nitrites/Nitrates! My ammonia has been constant throughout the process...0 - .50; never higher than .50 as I do water changes whenever I approach close to that level (3 different ammonia ...

Hello everyone. I have been wanting to go planted for awhile now. I decided to plant the tank I keep at college with me because i can't rely on my brother to take care of plants while i'm at school. I picked up a 20 gal tank off craigslist. It came with a filter and hood. nothing fancy though..infact the filter is said to be for 5-15 gal tanks. So I added the filter from my 10 gal I was...

Ok, I was bitten by the all too common curse of the Juwel Rio Light Bar failure! Not wanting to pay the price for a new one and to be buying what could be the eventual same problem further down the road led me into taking the matter into hand. Realizing that this problem was so common (and a poke from a Mod) prompted me into doing this journal in that it may help other members of the forum...
