On the buffet: The frittata is jerk chicken, diced green pepper, onion and celery, seeded, peeled diced plum tomato, dash of Louisiana hot sauce, and a light sprinkle of mild cheddar cheese. Served with grilled garlic baguette slices. Extra light, crispy, ginger peach buttermilk waffles with honey butter and maple...

Aloha,Karan, Here's the other thread which has been running on this same topic. You can see the rec's about north Ka'anapali (the Westin KOR and Honua Kai), plus Scott's rec for the Kahana Sunset and my prior for the Outrigger Royal Kahana. As I previously mentioned, the Mahana is in Honokawai. Much will depend on your dates--the end of January is quite full at many of the properties already....

Isabella's has good food but I sure don't consider it romantic. It's considered kid friendly, especially earlier in the evening which I assume is when you'll be eating. Do you realize how early it gets dark now? Anyway, I would look at Pasha or in the Time Warner building, Asiate or A Voce. Lots of good luck. Wherever you decide to go, make sure they know in advance you're celebrating a special occasion.

I also find that dealing directly with the hotel or its parent yields the best overall pricing. I use all the information at hand but the hotels always have the final say as to their rates and with very little pressure will almost always honor the lower rate found somewhere else.

chippy This all depends on what you want from a room - are you pool or beach people. Do you like upper floor or ground floor. How much time do you spend in the room. Is a view important to you, etc, etc We have been to EPC three times now and like the majority of people who go there had a great time - it is difficult not to

We had a family holiday near there last year, and one of the group flew from East Midlands to Carcassonne - it was further for the pick-up/drop off in France but we were planning to visit Carcassonne anyway. That was also Ryanair, I think.
What about flying via Girona or Barcelona ? http://www.skyscanner.net/ is useful for checking cheap flights. Odd, they are showing Ryanair ...

Any ski area offers day or half-day lessons. This is pretty early to ski, though. That being said, Heavenly DOES open this Friday with some limited skiing up on the mountain. I don't know if it would be an ideal experience, but since you're there, it's worth a try.
Have fun.

I've been looking at those resorts also because I am a member of RCI and can exchange into them. For me, the Seapointe is the best because you have the ocean right across the street. I think they are all within a few miles of each other so it doesn't really matter. But I woudl like view.

Sounds like the Fashion District fits the bill. This is where the masses go shopping. Check it out. Saturday is the best day to go. Definitely get a map.

I would say not. Parking is terrible in the city so you more than likely won't want to use it while you're there. Seems silly to pay for it while it just sits in the parking lot.
Public transport can take you pretty much wherever you want in the city, it's efficient and safe.

The two big tour companies in LA (Star Line - www.starlinetours.com and Gray Line - www.grayline.com) can both pick you up from your hotel and bring you to their respective depots where their tours begin from. So if you want to go with the guided tour approach, those will work for you. With (it sounds like) really only two 1/2 days or so to explore, these are a good way to get a ...

I too am one of Mulvi's so called "Bogans" an am flying Air Asia Gold Coast to KL then on to Bali in April next year. Thank God Mulvi won't be on our flight, as I am taking my 2 attractive 17 and 14 year old daughters - they are both "single (tourist) girls" .. if you get my drift !! I certainly wouldn't want any stuck up upper class wierdos or swingers trying to "get up to too much ...
