I was planning on buying a shiny new disc wheel over Winter ready for next season, but recently Im thinking a coach would be a better idea. I've just had a VO2 test so all my training zones etc are set out, I just need someone to advise the best training to improve. I've got a rough idea but am not confident enough to do it myself. I've had a Google for coaching but get bogged down with the ...

Hi Steve. If I were training for a 5k swim, I doubt my training would differ from what I do now where my focus is 1.5k. For a long distance swim you shouln't be working above your aerobic threshold, so the objective in training should be to raise be able to work for a decent amount of time at threshold. So interval training with minimal rests will be the bread and butter. My main sets would be in...

Personally, I owe a lot to TT, with TT I've made a few friends, had a better understanding of tri, and try not to make a fool of myself too many times. I think TT is the best tri forum.
What is your opinion of TT? Is it getting too personal, too sexed up? What would you like?

Yup, I'm against it too. Are we a civilized country, or not? If we are then we as a society need to be behave better than the people who have committed heinous crimes.
Anyway, the clincher for me is that the judge in the Guildford 4 trial said that if the death penalty had been available he would have used it. Scary, scary stuff indeed.

Did anyone else see this tweet from Chris Lieto :
"This is unbelievable!! http://bit.ly/1rFswD Do you think WTC/ Ironman will do anything about this? #fb "
Is this a case of Ironman selling so many places that this kind of thing is inevitable ?
