TUCSON TRAVBUDDIES GETTING TOGETHER FOR THE WINTER SATURDAY, DECEMBER 05, 2009 LOCATION: To be updated soon Since I will be unable to leave town for a couple of months, I want to bring the fun home - Tucson can be boring sometimes and for the most part, hot. I try to leave Tucson when I can, but this time the odds are against me. I thought of...

STI's something to think about
Published (2009-11-10 09:19:00)
Interesting article. I do think acohol is a huge contributor. Meeting travellers of similar backgrounds and trusting people right off the bat is an attractive feature and usually leads to irrational decisions. But each to their own... but if you are old enough to get on a plane and travel half way around the world... then atleast do it responsibly and return home the way you left, disease free!

Hotels / Resorts In Malaysia -...

I didn't think he/she was a troll or worked for the tourism board at all. Instead I just thought that he/she might be too earger to share the list compiled by him/herself. But as I said before, this might not be the right place, but then again - we can't rule out for the others! After all, I spent USD100 for a really really basic shared bathroom facility in London!!! And if I spend the same amount in Malaysia - I could even get one...

Published (2009-11-10 17:23:00)
Yeah, I read about Angeles City, but I'm kind of stuck there for New Year's. My flight to Kuala Lumpur leaves from Clark at 7:00AM on 1/1. I wanted to spend New Year's in Manila, but research had showed that its a 2 hour drive from Manila airport to Clark airport and 'good luck' getting transportation New Year's for a two hour drive I'm stuck...any recommendations?

Well, it is kind of different celebrating Christmas when it's in the 30C's outside the church. They have an OK zoo along with the Bird Park (Flamingos); Peoples Park - what's left of it (food); tour of hotel lobbies (really); Singapore Sling at Raffles; Marina Park (ask what they do). The water fountain display on Sentosa was relaxing, now you can see modern buildings. There is The Red House ...

In no particular order: - Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris, Frace - Old City of Venice, Italy - Kiyomuzi Temple, Kyoto, Japan - Acropolis, Athens, Greece - Hofburg Imperial Palace, Vienna, Austria - Windsor Castle, Windsor, United Kingdom - Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul, South Korea - Golden Falls, Iceland The reason I've gone for this somewhat unorthadox list is that I can't see the point of listing...

I could totally see that! But not just with British backpackers, with all backpackers! Obviously not for all people but a huge part of backpacking for younger people is going abroad, getting drunk and partying, and hooking up...all whilst still seeing the sites and doing the cool stuff of course! I would not be suprised at all if someone were to say they picked up an STI while backpacking in ...

I went on a Youth Mobility Programme to Canada this summer - it's the same as a Working Holiday Visa, I guess. I found a job before I went there, just searched on the internet for jobs within my area of interest and it was pretty easy to find something. Have fun! Make sure to visit British Columbia - it's gorgeous I was working in the Okanagan Valley and we had 35 degrees for most of July - ...

Hi Melanie, do you know if this only happened to female travellers travelling on their own? Our experience in Egpyt wasn't that bad but I am guessing that's because there were only 2 female out of the 6 of us and we have local guides most of the time.
