The more threads I have read, whether it is about a trading style, a type of method to trade, a timeframe preference.. each thread invariably tends to take a detour briefly.. One poster thinks another is being hateful or stepping on their method, the other poster backpedals signaling that "was not the intent” and it occurred to me that a lot of these tend to boil down to one simple statement: "...

I received a few PM's from people that found the thread on ET worth pursuing. I'd welcome any and all feedback for others to see. The premise behind the system is one that seems easy to follow and I've been watching it intra-day to see how it runs. Still too early to say much other than, candles print like crazy on a 2401 constant volume chart, that's for sure. Interesting premise w/ the ...

Hi guys, So Ive been using CQG for some time now and though most of you will say its PRICEY!....I have somehow become hooked to a point where I can not switch over to another platform. (maybe TS again) There is a charting format called TimeFlow in CQG which is pretty much the same as the bid/ask indicator available on TL! but coloring the price bars instead of volume. The ...

This is mostly based around stocks and trading breakouts, but I think it can carry over to the YM and ES. Anyways, I figured I'd share my thoughts. Yesterday was basically a kick in the ass for my bottom line. Fortunately for me, I've been through those days and I know how crazy a FOMC announcement can be. Unlike a lot of people, I kept my cool and did what I do best - look for potential ...

Excerpt from Think For Yourself by Robert P. Crawford ".... when the great majority of people expect a certain calamity to come, it does not come because they have taken all the precautions to be ready for it. Hurricanes do not kill people when people have prepared for them. When people expect still worse financial conditions, they liquidate everything that can be liquidated and ...

Since at least one of the mods yesterday seemed to have a problem with interpreting and applying the TL rules with regards to solicitation and advertising by a non-TL sponsor (meaning a member who thought that he could spam TL with solicitations for "donations" for his new $500 course without being a paying TL sponsor), could you kindly update the community on the TL rules about spamming, ...

All- Wanted to see if I could spark a discussion devoted to your pre-trade checklist. This sounds absurd, but I have a loosely mental checklist and am trying to put it down onto paper and having a hell of a time getting it into a "decision tree" type format. Since the markets are made to be in such a way that we may have to "roll with the punches" the idea of making some highly rigid ...

Due to the numerous requests of timeouts in the chat room, I have upgraded the database integrated with the script. Timeout issues should improve although there are no guarantees as chat rooms and forums integrated create quite a burden on the server. Any feedbacks are welcome. Thanks!

Instead of candlestick, would it be better to read the price action by looking at the demand and supply trade by trade, that is just following each executed trade?
