Which Router
Published (2009-11-13 23:03:00)
QUOTE (MalH @ Nov 8 2009, 05:35 PM) I've got a Belkin router and have found it excellent. Their tech support service phoneline is spot on, should you need it. We have a Belkin 54G router (wireless) and that requires constant restart for other devices to connect to it. It got so bad the main machine is actually hard-cabled to avoid the problem. Think I'll swap for a Netgear one when I have the spare...

So I need to live in a city to understand what goes on there, is that what you're saying? It wasn't intended so Tony. However - Do you live within range of 3 mosques all requesting permission to blast out the call to prayer at the prescribed times every day of the week...

Clarkson Got This Right!
Published (2009-11-13 11:40:00)
QUOTE (tony from suffolk @ Nov 13 2009, 10:46 AM) Typical Clarkson rant. The only thing he's "Got Right" is his ability to generate a substantial income from this stuff. And good luck to him. Ouch you are a grouse! I take most of his stuff with a pinch of salt, but in this article I feel that he has touched on a few valid points.

Cheapest Windows 7 Deals.

That's the offer I used - except the email address - used isn't one that's listed but worked anyway. As they agreed (via the address - gave that I have the right to use) that I qualified for the offer, I figure that I have valid license!

I too hate cats and I'm allergic to them. I find that a whippet and a chocolate labrador tend to keep the cat population down. Gaz

If this is the first time you are leaving them " home alone", I'd say "Give them a chance". You never know, they may prove you wrong. It may go one of two ways. Either you come back and the house is intact and you had nowt to worry about. OR You come back and the house is burnt to the ground. Just make sure the house and contents is insured and let them get on with it. You have...

Bought a new laptop which had Win-7 pre-installed whilst at the Conkers rally - thus far it's been a lot better than Vista.

QUOTE (lauriesandra @ Jun 2 2009, 11:42 PM) At last, we have been waiting for this - A new sat nav dedicated for caravans and motorhomes: http://tinyurl.com/oyznbv Looks really good, prices not bad and a well handy feature of being able to programme in your personal vehicle width and length. If this works it will be a big hit. The competition i.e., TomTom, Garmin, etc., are ...

We're interested in the Forest of Dean - Whitemead is excellent but I doubt that they'll do rallies (especially at peak times !) I didn't realise that they'd started taking non-members either ..... We stayed here in the dim and distant past - immediately after the first (and last) GT rally. We had a great time and there's plenty of walking/cycling in the area...

Did this too a couple of weeks ago. I programmed my Pronto remote so it'll select ITV HD with one keypress, but let's face it there's nowt much on the channel so I've not bothered to watch anything on it yet! It'll only be a matter of time before ITV ditches their policy of not allowing HD to be shown on the normal planning guide. It's a bit silly of them really....

I recently went wireless in the house and invested in a Netgear wireless modem/router. It has built in security and I think that Netgear are thought of as being amongst the better ones on the market. David

We have both - The Wii is good all round family entertainment and can be played in groups or singular. some good games on it but is pricey. One console fits one family. Games are more expensive for this console. The DS is hand held, again some good games on it, but used mainly singular although they can connect to each other for some games. Much cheaper, but would probably want one ...
