And there are more than 2 voltages to check. 6% is marginal. 5% is a more reliable value to be within, except for the 22 volts, which normally runs at 24+ volts.

The filter/codec with .dll or .ax suffix should be stored in C:\Windows\system32. Go to the Start button at bottom left of your Desktop. Click on Run. In the box type "regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\xxx.dll", without the quote marks, where xxx.dll is the name of the codec you wish register. Click OK. A box should come up to tell you that it succeeded. To unregister add /u after regsvr32 in the above. If you open up your .rec...

The advice given is to upgrade the toppy's software before retuning.
My problem is that the toppy is nowhere near the PC. I have never been able to connect the toppy to the PC. I once did an upgrade off air though.
What is my situation now?

Why not unhide them from MyStuff and delete them on the Toppy using the file list.

I had a play last night with DVDAuthorGUI after I saw it mentioned on this thread. Basically I recorded the first couple of episodes of Kidnapped and wanted to burn them to a DVD for a mate who'd missed them.
I ran the .rec files through ProjectX and PVAstrumento , both of which seemed to work okay. I then used MPEGSreamClip to chop out the adverts and the padding inserted by MyStuff. I ...

You need the Asus to run the thing wirelessly. Otherwise, you will need to run network cabling to the SLU2. Alternatively, you can get an NMT, such as the PopcornHour, which has an optional wireless dongle. This will do many other things, as it is primarily a very capable media player. Please note that wi-fi is not the best way to stream media, though it will transfer files to and from the ...

The T version does have a different front panel, which you may find more attractive, and has a different ID, but is other wise identical to the original 5800. The place to look for model availability would be the Turbosat web site. They are the official importers.

Mine has done this twice - once with 6.0 and once with 6.1. I followed a more blunderbus course and deleted all the lnk, dat and epg files but it sounds as though this post adopts a more methodical approach to finding out what is causing the problem. If it happens again I'll try culling the epg files only.

You should be able to set this from the TV. Most WS TVs have a 4:3 setting, which will set to that ratio if the broadcast is in that format, and auto set to 16:9 when ws is shown.
Or use WSSKiller tap.
