It seems that the workers of this Company did'nt enjoy their Christmas bonus: EMPLOYEES at a luxury UK food chain were handed a festive bonus of Christmas puddings - which went out of date nearly 10 months ago. Bosses at Premier Foods attached a letter to each of the $11 puddings assuring staff they were still safe to eat, despite the March 2 2009 expiry date shown on the packaging. "You don't get any more 'Bah...

Jurate--You may have missed the post where Tito was reminiscing about Astoria, and it turned out that he had graduated from the Junior High School where I taught. I had left before he got there, but he did have a few of my friends as his teachers. Both he and I love Astoria. The Beer Garden night was great fun. Can you believe it Tito.? They carded us ?

First of all, Happy Holidays! Now, for my topic. As some of you know, I like to go out to bars, clubs, sporting events, and such. I always use either foam earplugs (max protection) or silicone earplugs (very good protection). However, the foam earplugs can irritate my ear canals after a few hours, or sometimes even sooner. With the silicone, I deal with the "occlusion effect," in which the earplugs exaggerate the perceived...

Christmas is my favorite Holiday. I love the hussle and bussle, it goes with the season. I wish for a little snow, that's likely not to happen, maybe a few flurries. Get togethers with friends and family, talking about Christmases gone by.I've been baking cookies for ever, and my grandkids helped last week, since they were out of school already. We had so much fun. I have so many cookies, and I will share them with neighbors and...

No, my case is well identifying: acoustic trauma by car accident with 3 airbags deflagration, in last February, after 23 years of mild T by gunshot in Special Forces. I believe your case is far easier to repair, and I hope so! My hope is the true Neramexane do something for me in January 2010 and induced stem adult cells take care, definitively, of my case in a near future. There is no more hope to T suffers, by what is in trials in this...

taipei, i would help you if i could. i can only offer my heartfelt hurt that you are having a rough time.
you say you dont have any masking devices.. do you have a radio? music on the computer? any low soft relaxing sound you can listen to to get your mind off of
your noise? some people even use fans.
why does T elevate? we dont know. but believe me that if it stays you can get use to it.

Thank you Sally. We did! I love this pattern. I appreciate the French Joyeux Noel - I prefer it to Merry Xmas. So chic!!! lol
Actually this has been a marvellous xmas and I wish I could have it all over again. Such joy after a long
dark, sad year.
Have some beautiful photos from Yesterday to remember it by.
Hope yours was a good one too.

Yes the infamous Chloe who no one has seen a picture of. Does she exist? Why hasn't she and her parents, who are physicians made any appearances on tv to
discusss this miraculous treatment? I am skeptical at this point until this story is circulated in the mainstream media and verified by independent
researchers.

someday the use of stem cells will be common for treatment of many of the
diseases we currently have no cures for.......

If your hearing is decent, your ear isn't bad. I'd advise very strongly not to use the earplug. That can cause your tinnitus to rise over time and also
risks development of hyperacusis.
There is some damage to the hair cells. Everyone has some. There are two types of hair cells at each frequency and nearby frequencies interact. You can lose
hair cells at one point and still hear that ...

Nick, A great post. I agree with you completely. But it is always a fine line for me. There are times when I wake up at night for the required bathroom break,
the tinnitus is loud and those bad thoughts return for a few minutes. You know the thoughts; the ones that say "why me", "will I have this
forever?" And then I'm back in bed and soon I am sound asleep. I Thank God that I can fall back to ...

Hi BC85...although I've only had tinnitus for 3 months, I had a similar experience last week. I went to a bowling alley with people from work, and I
didn't bring my earplugs because I had been there before and it hadn't been very loud at all. This time, however, they were playing very loud music.
Stupidly, I stayed for about a half an hour before it became too much for me, and when I got home ...

This isn't going to work. The developed and developing countries have different needs. It's impossible to get a binding agreement. If the models are
correct, we are all screwed. Sharing that by any crazy system of credits and such doesn't solve the problem.
I think the only solution is for the developed (and rich) nations to fund research to find a carbon-neutral energy source (such as ...

As a matter of fact, yes!
Read my post. I can make mine disappear at will (albeit temporarily). I do know of at least 2 other people who have tried this - one being a major researcher
in the field.

I purchase the $4.00 bags of a mixture of different types of lettuce, with
no iceberg (which I detest). Lettuce, I use three or four times each week
to make a Mediterranean sort of salad with brown rice, balsamic vinegar,
olive oil, grilled chicken, and carrots. It is a routine dish for me, and
to my taste, delicious.

I am shocked and surprised that your wife feels sorry for that bum. Isn't she a social worker ?
He is a bounder, a cad, a philanderer and a jerk. Not only that, he took up with women who were vulnerable young women, susceptible to being flattered by his
attention, and being with a celebrity. He wasn't with anyone especially smart, or successful, or even really pretty. His wife is ...

Hi Jen
Whatever the cause of your sadness is, I hope that it fades away soon.
I would be nice if Craig could appear. It would be great to know what how he is doing these days. I'm sure he knows what he created.
This time of year is'nt always a time of celebration. It's also a time of reflection!
