Years ago, a punk that my stepson knows said, "Ah, cops are stupid," expecting us to argue with him. Instead, my husband said, "Cops don't have to be all that smart. They have a system, an organization, procedures and technology that punks don't have. So who's really stupid, the cops, or the person who does crime because he thinks cops are stupid?" Wow, that's really true.

I've been going through the 114 newsletters I've written over the last five years, extracting stuff for the Panama book I'm writing and came across this item. Thought yall might enjoy it. Robert finds some money. Robert is a neighborhood character. He makes a living of sorts doing odd jobs. He used to live in the US, but the story is that he killed a man there and fled home to Panama. Everyone in my neighborhood, regardless of...

Hope they find this scumbag. Four Lakewood Police officers were shot and killed Sunday morning in what authorities called a targeted ambush at a coffee shop. Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says the officers - four male and one female - were in full uniform and wearing bulletproof vests, sitting in Forza coffee shop near 116th Street and Steele Street on the east side of the Air Force base at about 8:30 a.m. Click here

"Is it your impression that, once a post has been deleted, a moderator can put it back where it was? Cannot be done." No, that is not my impression, nor has it ever been. It is a reference to the idea that I believe initial permanent deletion is too drastic and should be undertaken with measures designed to correct the mistakes, such as moving the perceived offense to a neutral area until it may be evaluated by an objective...

This is a real easy recipe. I just like the way Wonkette presents it to their readers: THE THINGS YOU NEED: When you're at the store, get two sacks of fresh cranberries from the produce section. They are like, a pound each. This will be plenty for eight or so people. Did your relatives refuse to use any kind of birth control, producing a larger family of say, 16 people? Just double the recipe, meaning buy two of whatever, and use twice as...

I think it's just part of the cycle of politics. Today the GOP is "out," but that won't last forever. I predict that sometime in 10-20 years,
they will regain control of Congress, regardless. Those people who are not particularly partisan will vote the Dems out after the Dems get arrogant enough and
piss off enough people, just as the GOPers did in recent years.
