Value of a "New" 2002...

Just remember, since it's over 8 years old now and out of warranty, it's still possible to get a used car warranty from Ford, particularly with those very low miles. The used car warranty would carry thru for 4 years.

Not sure what it is like up there in mid-May since my employer was a real sadist and only sent me there in the dead of winter. Of course if I was really bad they would call me into Winnipeg in January for a week of R & R. (Rant and Rave) Hopefully, the snow will be history by then or you may at least get down to only 3 feet on the ground. Gord

Not sure. When I bought my bird, I was told the car was traded in -- with no top. But, when I went through the glove box, there was a photo of the car, with a desert sky blue top on her. Of course, now I am on a quest to find a hardtop. First preference is white -- but I would take a DSB.

If the car was never titled then the title is still in the dealer's name and the only proof of ownership he has is a bill of sale. There may also be fines for not transfering the title in a reasonable amount of time payable to the BMV? I would think would need to be titled for insurance perposes? I used 3M --> http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...gl95XCS2Q1P Zbl Be careful around the cats. I covered them with newspaper and taped newspaper to the aluminum heat shields above them on the undercarriage. This stuff will catch on fire if it gets too hot.

Yes
Down the street from our house
Approx.200 ft., both tires
A slight powerbrake and then mash the pedal (shifting through the gears)
Yes, the transmissions really don't like it.

Re: Battery Drain???
I don't think anyone has done that over the years. It can't be much. I still have my original battery in my Bird and it just turned 6 yrs old in Jan. I know one day I'll go into the garage and it will be dead so I'm ready to get a new one whenever that happens.

Try Auto Finder. Might find some others more reasonably price. The Bond Car 2003 007 Coral w/White is a rare bird, however, even with the current Canadian exchange rate, that seems high. But if it's what you really want, without shopping for others, no price is too high for your dream car. No matter which Bird combo colour you end up with, it WILL BE your dream car. Many of us 2002-2005 Thunderbird owners don't drive these cars daily. As such there are plenty of good clean low mileage Thunderbirds still out there at half the price or less than the $50,000 this gentleman is planning on asking. Good luck.

I started a thread about this last year. I replaced the rears as they were totally shot, but I had no complaint as my car has 82K on it. Yours proves that keeping the mileage low doesn't make a difference, it's time that deteriorated these things, not miles.
