don't know if SP1 or hotfix solved the problem but they did, typing is done with swiftness like when not rendering even with 1 core processor and normal priority!

brentagain: True, but this has a fully approved resocialized criminal soldier inside it, so the codpiece is explained. Avatar-3DT: Actually, the fingers are about 10% smaller than they are in the source.

Sorry I don't know what causes your crashes I don't really think it is the lack of ram though. Also what renderer do you use? I was thinking because of the logo in the middle. Or did you add that yourself?

The couch cushion closest to the camera looks serrated. You should fix that. Otherwise, all looks good. I especially like the wood floor.

Well, as for everything new, you need to practice, practice more, curse and more practice.
Searching the internet and doing the tutorials that come with max should help you to get started.
I think this tutorial is a very good starting point for modeling a human head:

And for character modeling go to the tutorial section on ...

Well, by grouping multiple objects you have...well... a group of objects,
so selecting it allows you to move all objects as one. If you want to move
them individually you could open the group (not un-grouping but open).

Not too shabby. Nice improvement of the chest peices, much better than just the skin tight ninja outfit from the games. Nice inclusion of the gold trims. Are you planning on adding any smoke/steam effects in post?
I love the Mortal Kombat series of games, my favourite being Mortal Kombat 3/Trilogy.
Smoke was a cool character who was also hidden in most games, I also like the cyborg ...

OK well it's just before 6am here in the UK and i've not been to bed yet, so here's an update and then i'm off to sleep!
I'm really pleased with how this is looking so far, I like this lighting setup and i've got the camera where I want it, I plan on modelling the upper floor and the side walls, then i'll move onto some sections of the pavement and I think i'll have some leafs ...

I would definitely go with Win7 instead of Vista. Win7 is the more
sophisticated and modest OS and a lot less idly than Vista. Just make sure
you are getting the 64Bit-Version or at least the possibility to change the
version without paying again. There are packages of Win7 which contains
both versions (32 and the 64Bit), but I´m not sure you if you can get these
packages bundled with hardware.

Fantastic start, I always love your artwork and this is certainly another excellent example. Always liked the Judge Dredd character and the 2000AD comics. Heck! even even liked the Stallone movie, once you look past the absymal acting of Stallone it's not a bad film and I loved seeing the ABC Warrior in the film also.
This character was always badass to me, upholding the law where he see's fit...
