My PC died! :(

Argh! I'm posting from my laptop today. I think my PC is officially dead. Yesterday, I was trying to work on it, and got several BSODs. The last one had a particularly ominous error code: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_DRIVE. I can't even boot it up in Safe Mode so I can finish the housekeeping things I wanted to do before my new PC arrives. It's supposed to be delivered 11/12. It seems so far away! Hopefully, I can put the old drive in an...

Charisse, I have a dirty little secret to share. Matrix math is the only thing I needed extra help when I effectively skipped a year of math when I switched schools and got put in the honors Math. I learned everything else I had missed during the September review of the previous year. Oh and the extra help session was at the most 30minutes long. Then we had like 1 or two lectures on Linear Algebra at the end of Multivariable Calc. I never did...

I probably shouldn't answer this because I know I'll get flamed for it. This has been a long-standing issue since the birth of blogs years ago - people want followers and self-market in order to try and get as many followers that they can get. Part of it is likely a way to have your self-esteem stroked - people like me because they're following me! I think, however, that it's not so much that people are moving towards blogs...

A friend bought her first real tree a couple of years ago but didn't realise you have to give it water every day. Ok - this is getting really off topic, but reading this prompted the question... Other than the year I had the tiny potted Norfolk pine tree, I've never had a "real" tree at Christmas. I had no idea you would need to water a dead tree...

Kill a dragon and attempt to revive it. Apparently it only works on Halloween that there's a chance of zombification. I feel bad for my daughter - she used up all 5 of her kill chances and didn't get a single zombie. So I let her try on another spare of mine...and it zombified. Does it still count if you *used* to know that stuff once upon a time but would likely fail a test today miserably? My high school DS mentions tons of stuff from his science classes and I just draw a blank. I know I used to know all that stuff. sigh. OTOH, I still manage to get by day to day so it isn't exactly necessary! Anita

Where did everybody go? It's noon here and there's only one new post since I checked last night? Well it's amazing what a good night's sleep will do for you when you're sick. I'm not feeling fabulous, but I'm feeling much more together today than I did yesterday.
