Screaming.net CDs are very useful, but you need between 10 and 20 of them. You attach them all to a length of string with a gap between each, and put them in the garden suspended between two short posts hammered into the ground. Excellent bird scarers

Hey guys,
Recently just signed upto talktalk since leaving aol. Since connecting with talktalk i have found my speeds to be 0.54mb download and 0.24 upload whereas with aol the download speed was around 2.5mb and upload of 0.8mb. Why is this and is there anything i can do?

Welcome to The Scream! daveneil.
I hope so because I've still got mine!
(Cough) No, throw it away! (cough) the fewer around the more valuable mine will be!
Serious, I doubt it but what the heck I've got mine and it takes up little space so why not.
The domain name screaming.net is still in use but it now re-directs (or course) to Tiswas.

If you want a good online gaming experience with the xbox (an it's good might I add ) I would suggest using an ethernet connection on the xbox. Most routers come with ethernet sockets so this shouldn't be a problem. If ...

Microsoft do update the update software occasionally - can't remember the last time, but if you're not getting your updates via a third party (i.e. you're going directly to MS) there shouldn't be a problem.

Virgin Media have no choice. If she wants to cancel, they can't stop her. She should phone them and tell them she is cancelling the contract, and that no further payments will be made on the account after 30 days notice has elapsed.
Then write a letter stating the same, and send it first class recorded/signed for delivery. Make sure she keeps the recorded delivery slip. After 30 days, she ...
