A Suitable book on the Apple Mac OS

Anyone like to suggest to me a suitable book on the Mac using post 2005 OS Tiger to put on my Christmas list. I am totally new to to Mac and will soon be receiving a discarded Mac Mini 1.25 (circa 2005) with the Tiger OS installed. I'm looking for a book (not a door stopper) that will give me an overview as well as step by step instructions on the basics of using my Mini Mac - I'm coming at from a good deal of experience with MS...

The Great Global Warming Swindle

Instead we have pollution, extinction, over population, genocide, war and the list goes one. One...

Why has this problem happened in the last week? For 10 years or so I have been able to open almost every email attachment. I can still open MS Word and graphics attachments. But .eml, NO! I have still to try Slo's suggestion - but can anyone explain who/why/when the goal posts were moved?

I'm no expert but surely you would need to have a direct connection to the laptop screen in order to do that. None of the sockets on a laptop do that do they?
