I guess we all totally knew it. And Yay! I was right about Sabato's name being spelled as 'mackeral man' X3 BOO-YAH. Point for me. Man, even Sakura pointed out that Sabado-san looks too young. He really does... JUST a resemblance, Tsubasa!?!?!? -_- I know you're freakin' dense but come on. They look exactly alike. And even if he is evil ((I guess)), Sabado-san did get a few laughs out of me X3 Like how he keeps calling...

Yes, that is how it's written! See the blog , which also refers to the idiom saba wo yomu -- literally "to count mackerel", but meaning to cheat or fudge the count. And better yet -- my Japanese Names book lists only one Sabato . . . as a name with literary significance, BTW (though I haven't found out why yet). The first kanji is 奢, with the on-yomi SHA meaning extravagance, luxury . . . the kun-yomi is...

I am standing with my mouth literally wide open after watching episode 87 " Wonderful! The Magic Mushroom Pot!" Were the makers high on shrooms making this episode? It was wild, and I have to admit I laughed out loud. But BIZ AR O! Who came up with this? I am not well versed in UY, so I do not know whether this episode has anything to do with the manga. But it left me in stiches, and made me think it is completely nuts at...

*shrug* I dunno. I really only barely know anybody here, so I can't say if I'd make a scene. lol Yay n00bs! Though if I WERE to make a scene, something along the lines of cosplaying any of a number of Rumic Charachters and pretending to be drunk MIGHT be in order... *ponders this* heck, if I grew a 'stache I could probably pull off Soun Tendo! or I could get a haircut and try for Yatsuya! (probably butchered that spelling) lol...

Hell, I sprained my ankle on my first day of tennis camp the summer before 9th grade. On the VERY FIRST DAY of summer. My ankle blew up to the size of a grapefruit and was purple from my knee down to the sole of my foot, and I spent the rest of the summer limping around and watching while everybody else got to do things It totally sucked! But tennis is hard on your ankles (especially if you're, ahem, a KLUTZ like me! ) and Mitaka should...

Oh yes...there are a LOT of trippy anime episodes in the UY series where one wonders "where did they come up w/ that??!!" Might I add the episode where Ataru eats Ran's "poisoned" cupcake and Lum goes through a weird WEIRD wonderland looking for Ran for an antidote. Or the one where Ataru's mom has that mental breakdown and has those REALLY trippy daydreams...UY has it all

Just got a good deal on some Ranma 1/2 anime.
Went to FYE today, they had the OAV series box set on sale, used, for $31.99. The clerk then told me they had a deal where if you buy two used items, you get
20% off the total. So then I remembered a Ranma 1/2 Season 7 DVD " Kiss Me, Cat" used, on sale, for $3.99
But because of that "20% off for two used items deal" I actually ended up spending...

Have you been watching the episodes aired on the SyFi Channel, GodaiMH? They come on Monday nights and I've been enjoying them quite a bit. The animation
budget seems a little limited at times compared to other shows, but I think it's a good adaptation thus far. I'm really hoping for a 20th Century Boys
anime eventually.
