Avoid Alpha services

I touched on the concern that the Advanced Service work was to blame in the second paragraph: QUOTE ART is a supported part of our Advanced Services management packages, though you were told incorrectly that it was unsupported at the time. The representative responding to the ticket at the time was unaware of the policy difference between standard support and Advanced Services support. Upon getting this misinformation, the AS support was the...

QUOTE (theuruguayan @ Nov 4 2009, 04:11 AM) Sounds like firewall might be activated or the DNS is not working inside now. Hard to tell exactly the error without login to the box. This is just opening for reading-in on another server, not writing-in on the same server.. Would firewall ports still be an issue? Where should I look for firewall info on an CentOS/cPanel server?

I thought you all might be interested in knowing I was searching google for buying SSL Certificate and I found a site called thesslstore.com. They are selling Geotrust True Business ID with EV certificate for just 174$ the lowest price I have ever heard.

Thank you. I noticed a tech has since logged into the server (prior to any of your responses) and removed/updated all Art files. Plesk has had anomalies since AS - including the ability to suspend/unsuspend sites (doesn't work). It can only be deduced that the Plesk problems started happening after AS did their patches. I still stand behind my comments on this, cancelling it months ago never really got rid of them. I still have someone...

Published (2009-11-06 15:14:00)
QUOTE (John D. @ Nov 6 2009, 01:51 PM) I really wish we could change the new reboot ticket approach to allow us to make comments, add questions, etc. to the ticket the way we always could with the Orbit 1 system. Also, with the Orbit 1 system a tech would update the ticket letting us know that the reboot was imminent, if there were any problems, etc. We found that to be a better approach, FWIW. Now if a CHKDSK is required or...

The source IP isn't an internal address that we use. This means there's the possibility of the server being compromised, pleas forward these logs to abuse@theplanet.com so they can inform the customer who's leasing that server from us.

QUOTE (shanz @ Sep 13 2009, 07:03 AM) However I notice that all the users are able to send and receive E-mail through outlook with or without checking "my server requires Authentication" Is it safe and OK? Depends. If poprelay is running on the server and the user's IP is already in the database, they might not be required to authenticate. Issue the following command to empty ...
