Conversation in a pawn shop
Published (2009-11-01 08:22:48)
I was making the rounds the other day and my travels took me into a pawn shop in Everett, WA that I visit occasionally. They have a gun rack that turns up something interesting once in a while. When I walked in, there were two very large individuals standing at the counter. Both of these men reeked highly of alcohol. I don't think they were drunk but had been recently. You know how people who drink all the time still smell of booze even...

.....bullets from Widener's last week. 500 .22 cal 75gr. HPBT and 500 .30 cal 150 gr. FMJ. The BBT brought them last night and and when I opened the box, only the .22s were in there! The packing slip said both were shipped! This was my first order with them, and talk about being dissappointed. I hope their shipping department doesn't do that to too many others. Called them this morning and they are shipping the rest without any...

.30 carbine.

Don, Name any cartridge ammo that isn't scarce or expensive. According to stats IIRC the average sales of ammo in the U.S. is 7 billion rounds. This year that demand was 9 billion rounds. I do remember being at a Lexington Kentucky gun show and they were selling Norma 30 carbine at $100 per 1000 OTD but that was in 1989-1990.TANJ.

SEMCA 2010
Published (2009-10-30 01:43:52)
I have managed to find two rare rifles to be exibited in February. One is an extremely rare T38 Sniper. It is the 8th one know to exist. Made in the later 20's or early 30's as a test. I have no scope for this one as there are rarer than the rifle. The other is one of the first T99 snipers made (ser.no. 106) - a Kokura with mono pod, AA wings and sling and has the scope in a case.

Funny/odd that the Netherlands never seems to get top billing; it stands to
be mostly under water if the sea-level predictions are true.

I, for one, am so very sad that she had to give up a lucrative law practice for the lonely position of "first lady" who has to personally tend a
garden on the White House grounds to provide food for the family table. So sad.

i keep wondering at the total ABSENCE of any discussion/news of the current status of social security ......
THEY took over our retirement - promising the moon and the last few elections were marked by loud crys of its pending failure/bankrupcy , has that CHANGED ?

I am a " person of color." White/caucasian. Or, is white the absence of color? So I'd be an UnColor? If White is not a color, why do
"official documents" want me to check "White"? Or is that requirement a matter of separating me from the "Colored" by giving me
an option other than "Hispanic"? Maybe I'll start answering as Caucasian Slavic derived Naturalized U.S. Citizen? This "race card" is
