Alterverse in STAR TREK 09 is not the same universe that ENTERPRISE takes
place in.

Wow! That's a great story idea. I hate losing Pike, though. I'd hope he'd hang around for at least two more movies as a father figure to Captain Kirk, but as Cylons would say, "The parent must go on in order for the child to become an adult."
...Or something like that.

I don't agree with everything that was done, but they tried to make a new series out of it.

I have a feeling they're going to kill X-Men with over-saturation at this rate. With the main trilogy spin-off's, and planned sequels to those spin-offs. Then X-Men: First Class, with more spin-off's in mind from those.
I see quality plummeting further than it already did with this year's Wolverine.
Although, last I read Bryan Singer had been circling First Class - it would appear he's ...

I think you correct in your observation that Orci- Kurtzman-Abrams trio were
not on the whole good students of Trek.

Yeah, Berman had stayed on Trek too long. All sorts of stuff have been coming to light recently about how Berman disapproved of this idea or that idea--and went with something that was worse, IMO.
