Showcase Superman Family
Published (2009-11-27 17:42:21)
I finally bought a Showcase, Superman Family and am really pleased. Basically 23 comics in one BW volume featuring Jimmy Olsen 1-22 all of it Curt Swan art just plain fun. Very similiar to the Superman TV show of the time and featuring a few stories that appeared as TV shows. Jimmy Olsen usually featured stories a bit less spectacular but more amusing that Superman. I will have to look for more Showcase books. There are 3 or 4 Lois Lane...

Clark, I've never heard any of these programs, but with a Rod Serling connection and featuring some of the actors in the cast lists you supplied, they are on my future listening list. Thanks, Ken.

Although not as complete as one would like, here's the best I could find for credits (wish I could find the writer credits...) http://www.otrsite.com/logs/logz1001.htm Learn something new everyday-while researching the credits, found out the Elliott Lewis played Remley, Phil Harris' guitar player on both the Benny and Harris shows...

I've been yelling for years about Mickey Rooney not getting a AFI Life Achievement or a tribute at the Academy Awards. Like they did with Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, those idiots will wait until he passes away.

1889 - North and South Dakota were admitted to the Union; the first time that

Thanks for the heads-up, Tony. I'll have to get a supply of blank discs on hand, and make sure the recorder us up to snuff, because there'll be lots of
recording to do in December.

Tony, I've got a few episodes of The Zero Hour on my ipod, and have listened to one of the story arcs, and find it enjoyable. It is good to hear Rod
Serling host the shows. The casts have been top notch, and the stories were well written.

Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May and they still smelled pretty good by June. However, since they were starting to
smell .... brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.
