Hi Becki Im sorry to read how you are feeling :hug, Becki how old are is your child(ren)? Sometimes our partners may find pnd difficult to understand. If you had a broken leg and were in plaster, then its easy to see & understand how you may be feeling. PND isnt really visible and those around us may struggle to see how pnd is affecting us. I know that when I had pnd, my dh would try to understand but often I would struggle to...

Hi Lisa, one glass of wine most nights isn't really a problem as such however a couple of glasses with whisky chasers is a bit too much. What you have to look at is the level of alcohol and how much you have in a glass. Women should not drink more than 14 units a week. One unit is equal to half pint of an ordinary lager/beer, 25ml of spirits, there's one a half units to 125ml of wine (pub measure). I think just because you fancied a...

Hello Alexis Thanks for your post. Sorry to hear LO has been unwell. At 19 weeks, his main food continues to be milk. Perhaps you could offer him his milk feeds before the solids so he is hungry for his milk. You could also try mixing his milk in his solids such as baby rice, milky puddings etc. You could also offer baby yogurts to support his calcium intake. Its good that he is taking water-keep offering this too to keep up his fluid intake....

Hello Sarah, How are you today Sarah? It sounds like yesterday was a very unhappy day for you. How are your lovely boys today? I'm really worried that you're feeling so low and so much despair. How much support are you getting from your Health Visitor and GP? How often are they seeing you Sarah? I know you had a depression before, and from what you've saying I think you still have it. Do you have anti-depressants? Please could...

Maybe you could give some bottles with half the scoops in it. This way she would get the right amount of formula but 2x the water. If they both taste milky she may drink them.
My lo won't take cooled boiled water, which I was supposed to giver her when she had diarroeah, but refused it. A gp told me half the scoops was safe, plus I added the little dioralyte sachets and she happily accepted...

Ah hun you've really been through the mill eh? I really feel for you because that's soooooo not what any of us want to happen. On the other hand, your experience may help other mums-to-be in the future when it comes to deciding where to have baby etc and who they want there. I've already written on my birth plan that I DON'T want students there. Yes, they need to learn etc but I have an ...

This is really interesting, when people talk about making a ' personal choice' to breastfeed or not to breastfeed, quite often this isn't really true. Breastfeeding 'choices' are often really a combination of social pressures and poor information.
For example, a woman who wasn't breastfed by her mother and whose friends don't breastfeed is much less likely to breastfeed. She may think she is...

No I agree with you.
Just seems like more expense. Xmas is expensive enough as it is without adding another load into the equation.
Also don't know how everyone else spends their xmas eve, but ours is chaotic and we def do not have time to sit down, open a load of pre xmas pressies, watch a dvd, read a book etc.
By the time OH gets back from the after work drinks and we delivered ...

I feel desperately sorry for you in this situation, but how on earth did it come to this? I can't help but feeling there is a lot of history to this situation, but if my daughter was threatened at school I would be taking it as seriously as you could imagine. You have set a very bad example by suggesting that your son should deny having the knife, what messages are you sending out to him? Now this...
