Cooking oil can't "go bad" in the sense that it becomes unsafe to eat. It can, however, go rancid - and become unpleseant to consume - as a result of oxidation or hydrolysis. It is best to store cooking oil in a cool, dark cupboard. Even better, store it in your refrigerator. I do that with more delicately flavored oils like extra-virgin olive oil, walnut oil and sesame oil - as those tend to show signs of rancidity...

Wow, Steely, I'm humbled. If I can face life with anything approaching the strength, dignity and grace with which you and your family are facing death, I'll have done well. God bless you and your loved ones.

The Internet seems just fine to me as it is. It's pretty much free-wheeling unless you're Chinese or a pedophile. I can't see a single thing that could be improved by any government intervention. Broadband is coming down in price due to competition and one can access it from just about anywhere on the globe. That's sort of the point. The internet as it is now already operates under the principle of net neutrality and it is...

As prominently as religion factors in many people's (mine included) worldview, it is not everything. People do not define their allegiance solely on grounds of religious affiliation. Plus, like Christianity, Islam is fractured into different groups. They don't tend to have separate "churches" like Christians do, but two Muslims could be every bit as different as I am from Branch Davidians.

Ignoring the Muslim aspect for a moment, what I don't understand is how nobody in the entire military noticed that anything was.....off....about this guy. Well, I guess they sort of noticed, but it must not have clicked. I heard that, during his residence at Walter Reed, his supervisor (?) was wary to assign him any clients. Hello? He's a psychiatrist and you're concerned about assigning him clients? Why? Shouldn't that...

One of the supervisors just ordered 23 lbs of Zweigles Hot Dogs today. They'll arrive at his house on Friday. And we'll have a cook-out here, at work,
next week.

Now that's an interesting point. As I'm sure you know, the Catholic Church is very slow to change. The current move actually provides a potential
vehicle for the Church to begin considering a change of doctrine. Personally, I think the sex abuse scandal has forced the Vatican to reconsider some things.
From what I know of this Pope, I doubt that's the case. I think he sees the growing...
