Pelosi breaks pledge.

I held my nose and voted for everybody else in the other party. Hoping for a day when nose holding is not necessary..... --------------------------------------------------- And that is the exact reason i disagree with MadCap and his refusal to vote for the lesser of two evils, the lesser of two evils could be the difference between Pelosicare and liberty, or at least Pelosicare and more liberty. MadCap, i respect your opinion, love your...

Springtex was wrong to say that Pelosi would rename a military hospital after a killer. But Springtex is right....be it this shooter or the words of Bin Laden or Zawihiri, they are similar to words of Liberals, sometimes it's like its right out of Dem talking points or Micheal Moore's movie. Sadly, Americans still haven't woken up about Liberalism. This week's elections was a start. But more is needed. Jedi

A guy who's way wiser than you. Check him out if you dare. When it comes to Greek and Latin, I will concede to his being wiser than me. I love gyros, but that probably doesn't make me an expert on Greece. But I don't say anything that would indicate he's is any wiser or any more qualified than I am to speak on energy. Though I do think he makes a couple of good points.

Accept the fact that the achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life, and that happiness not pain or mindless self-indulgence is the proof of your moral integity, since it is the proof and the result of your loyalty to the achievement of your values. - Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged , p. 970 In honor of Goofyhoofy: http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=28080435

I'm sure those things he smokes aren't just full of tobacco... Frank sponsored the medical pot bill.........

I had my labwork done today. Obviously I don't know anything until I see my doctor on Tuesday... except that I do. They did a bone density scan on both my spine and my left hip. My spine is fine (which is REALLY good news since I've already got scoliosis and a really long neck and wasn't looking for additional problems) but my left hip is definitely in the osteopenia range (the stage before osteoporosis) which is consistent...

There are none. Mature teeth are metabolically inactive and can't be "supplemented" The most common reason for teeth breaking is the weakeness that comes from big restorations. See a dentist is the best advice.

One word I would use to describe this episode is 'rushed'. Not only do we have to deal with the fact that aliens have landed, but also that some of those aliens have evidently been here for a long time, infiltrating our society. Then, we learn that some of those secret aliens are actually on our side, and against the other aliens, and that some of the humans have already formed ...

I'm not a lawyer. If the officer's behavior was inappropriate, he may get in trouble. That said, most likely unsafe behavior by the police officer is unlikely to result in a dismissal. As the saying goes, two wrongs don't make a right. I suspect all information the police have can be subpoenaed. It is also likely that the cost of getting the information may be more than the ticket....

Similar thing happens when a patient aquires one of those nasty infections in the hospital -- the hospital makes more money treating the patient for the infection. Improving infection contol leads to better care, but less money. (Didn't read the article, maybe this was discussed also . . . )

Seriously? A person who does not believe in god is incapable of being good in the ethical and moral sense? Nevermind that you are atheist, and therefore by definition "bad". But fundy coworker throws the same thing at me. It was a big enough topic that there's a section in the FAQ about it here. They don't see how one can claim any sort of morality without an absolute reference ...

"Absolutely Hilarious..." Yet scary, because you know there are folk here (and presumably elsewhere in those Fox watchers) that will STILL insist that Fox is fair and balanced, no matter how many times they are shown things like this. Ken

<You may be right in saying that Fox may be the only "alternate" viewpoint from the mainstream media, but that doesn't mean it's good for you, or the nation.> Interesting analogy. Count me in! I can knit as many squares as we need. And I have obscene amounts of yarn to use... Lots of blue, too. I am not up on the crochet so am probably not a good choice for assembly, but if we do not get another volunteer I am happy to do it.
