Consent to hunt is not implied. Verbal stipulations can be and are binding, especially when he's been told several times. I feel I have a leg to stand on as well as the C.O. that help us write the letter giving me prosecutorial rights. He pays a very minimal price for rent and I have a pretty good price for the lease, easy to figure it out from there.

U.P. Wolves
Published (2009-11-19 13:21:00)
Me and some friends went fishing in the UP this past summer. We saw wolves everywhere we went. Heard thwm howling and night. Twice they came into our camp, each time dragging one of our group into the woods, where you would hear them screaming as they were eaten by the pack. They're everywhere. In all the small towns children are attacked at bus stops, drunks are attacked as they stagger home after the bar closes and more and more...

Thats 1 of many possable destinations, My partner and I usually go up 1st week of July and have yet to have a bad trip, we tend to go further west tho, and now that I have a full sized boat, the Little bay is not out of the question!
Undoubtably some of the best fishing I have done for smallmouths has been in DA U.P.!
Have fun!

Big rapids national forest waiting for the light. I am bordered by privite land that is hunted so hard that the deer move to the public land! Good luck all.

A two fish limit sounds more reasonable to me. Don't get me wrong, a one fish limit sounds great but take into consideration the guys that pay for a license and only fish a handful of days a season. It's easy for many of us to scream for a one fish limit because we're fishing 2-3+ days a week at times. Lower the limit to two fish and you still reduce the harvest by 33.3% and the weekend ...

Still seems to be plenty of cuts big enough for a bigger ranging dog where I hunt. On the flip side I hate trying to hunt narrow strips of cover with a pointing dog. Having one of each probably wouldn't be a bad idea but I doubt many hunters will make that choice.
