Man I hear you there. Hiking around all day is the way to go. That's what we do all day when we're out west. However, we never even get within 100 yards of the animals we hunt out there. Then again, we don't need to with rifles. Next year we're doing a DIY bow elk hunt. I'm not expecting great results, just getting some seasoning.

anytime you practice shooting your not doing any harm. Those pressured shots make you better because you ARE nervous which is similar to your hunting shots. Who wants to shoot 30 gimme shots? Maybe you should take the training wheels off the bow

Ways to avoid thieves on stateland: Rule #1 - Never leave your stand on state land. Rule #2 - Never leave your stand on state land. Rule #3 - Chains and padlocks only deter the honest hunters. Rule #4 - Never leave your stand on state land. Sorry that this happened but it will only continue to happen if you leave your stand in the woods. It's a sad fact.

When ya lock it, someone can read and feel as if they havent gotten the last word and post up a similar argument to re-spawn the argument. Just does not make sense to me One more thing I have noticed on this forum more than the other turkey and waterfowl forums is the locking of...

No they wont be back tonight, they will be bragging about it to their friends. Man, why cant I have punk kids trying to beat me up when I am out in the woods? That is the stuff dreams are made of, would of made for a fun night. I am blood relation to Chuck Norris (well, I dont know that I just assume) and I would have made vegies out of both of 'em.
