Well I tried my soapwort solution with some added lime juice, but my hair was really quite greasy today so I gave in and washed with commercial shampoo. Sigh!!

Re: Gleam Oil I don't know the ingredients on the bottle but argan oil is one ingredient. No ingredient list on the bottle. I believe a lady makes it from scratch and its her own receipe. I need to find a better way to lighten my roots without using a highlift tint. When I apply it I do use very little but no matter what it looks greasy...

I wouldn't really care. My typical response to most odd hair comments is, "Ummm... okay." and then ignore the person. It's dismissive without being completely in your face rude. It works for me.

It's actually a decent coney serum for my hair, but it does dry out my hair in the long run. It really does a great job at weighing down my hair though!

There have been a few threads over in the Mane forum lately about trims (it's that time of year!), and I was wondering how the stats pan out for LHC members on how many self-trim, have someone close to them trim it, or go to a salon, and why, really. I couldnt possibly answer - I like so many different ones. The easy way to do it is to buy unscented products and scent them yourself. Neals Yard sells unscented conefree stuff and if scent was my primary consideration I'd buy them. I find a good way to scent is to use something like a few drops of BPAL oil in a mister of filtered water or in some unscented leave-in. I usually go for ...
