I had far too much fun making a silly graphic. Thanks for the challenge, Linda! Greekgeek's Latest Squidoo Lenses Another idea, since these lenses are pretty short: I listed the 5 latest things I've bought on Amazon, and why. Last edited by Greekgeek (Today 1:50 pm)

Every now and again you see something or read about something that leaves you spell bound. Australians have a bond with Americans that would be hard to break. We often jibe each other about things, especially about how you spell, but, Oh well, we are brothers and sisters at heart. That's why this lens got to me so much. It is an extremely well written story and one that will have an impact on anyone who reads it. What do you think?...

Yes, the label is NOT going to be seen. It's as you rightly conclude 'alt text'. You can't align left the pictures that are uploaded. If you want that, you will have to upload it elsewhere and use HTML to show it in your lens & left align (float for instance).

Hi Linda, great idea! Especially since I'm not even sure how to figure out which of my lenses are newest. This should help me keep track. It also reminded me I need to update my lensography, so thanks all around. Here's my contribution to the "ten newest" lenses: Newest lenses from Chapel Hill Fiddler

I thought about posting this on my "Squidbits" blog about SEO and Squidoo, but I've already posted one tip on Squidbits today so...here! Take it! 1) Google tells us it penalizes comment spam and link dropping that obviously has nothing to do with a page. Good thing Squidoo guestbooks are nofollow. 2) On that page, you can get GOOGLE's guide to SEO. It's written for beginners, but it's worth...

Maybe they meant "your greek lens es "? Quite a few people mistake 'lens' as plural... I would sell my only child before I sold SquidUtils.

You have to upload again (if the photo is already uploaded, just leave it and click "upload' once you've entered the URL and title) and then save the module. You can't just click "Save."

Ooooo. Nice one, Gil. I very much approve of these subtle SEO-boosting thingies. ( Technical term.) The great part about alt-tags with images? You can slip in alternate spellings without looking like you can't spell!
